    The last “big” change was in 2010, if memory serves and that was when the Written Communications were removed from FAR/AUD/REG. The big topic then was also IFRS.

    “Run for your lives!!! The world is coming to an end!”

    It ended up being ok. 🙂

    I think the AICPA listens to ideas pre-launch – such as adding a restroom break…but I don't think feedback will impact anything…they're moving forward and candidates need to adjust.

    Thanks Jeff.
    I used Ninja for other 3 sections and it worked very well for me but somehow not working for FAR.May I request to modify the FAR MCQ and SIMs based on new format ?

    Folks I have been reading and also asking questions ( before exam ) or hints but now since exam is over what is the point in asking or telling now ?
    I feel had some told me all the questions of SIMs my result would not have been any different. Last 3 SIMs I consider myself good at but couldn't do it as at that time I had 3 minutes left.
    I feel it would help if those who aced the time should share their experience without violation of disclosures rather then what topic or questions were asked.
    I am reading your answers with open mind as I am looking forward to your suggestions.

    WannaFree – the concepts for FAR didn't change. The ordering of the MCQ and SIMS on the practice exam shouldn't have an impact on learning the concepts. We are working on some changes, however. What other materials are you using besides NINJA MCQ?

    @wannafree.

    Oh boy!, u touched my heart….It was quite difficult for me too, to come home after difficult exam and tell them shit, while they sacrificed great deal. Heads up man…u gonna make it. sometimes hard exams are hard for all.

    @CPAn2K
    i am surprised you finished within three hours. May be few like you, but i would say majority had tough time racing with the clock. For me, MCQs were those I spent too much time and I never felt the diffrence between the two testlets. Both of them were difficult. As usual, I am good at sims and they were doable for someone with enough time.

    My advice to all is, give due respect to all topics in the course. The hardest ones and easiest ones too. Do not even leave the little details.

    I agree with you for concept part same study material.I am using Becker's besides Ninja.
    What I really meant was except FAR , Ninja was sure shot for practicing and measuring performance and it was so accurate.Earlier I felt REG was beast and used Ninja and knew I would pass.
    This time I was doing good on Ninja but I didn't pay attention to time taken.
    I admit I have not studied Ninja Book for FAR even though I have purchased it.FAR is my fav subject and never felt it difficult but since last two attempts failing really bad not due to concept but due to time hence looking for Ninja SIMs to practice.Now I intend to select 66 MCQ and would seriously watch the time on Ninja.

    Becker's LT liabilities MCQs are brutal, man. Never would've guess notes payable could be such a pain in the @ss.

    B - 81
    A - 87
    R - 73
    F - July 5th

    My advice for anyone studying for FAR would be just get through your material the first time, and during your review it will all stick and become more clear.

    If you are required to do a journal entry in a sim, and you get the accounts right but the amount wrong, do you think you still get partial points?

    @CPAIN2K17. Im going to have to say yes to partial points. I know for sure on all of the other exams Ive passed I havent provided 100% of the answers correct, yet have come away just fine.
