Hi EVERYONE!!!! I know I've been gone for months… but I've been so busy with moving out of state and job searching….

I took FAR today after only studying chapters 1-6 and two weeks of NO studying at all prior to my exam today.. and let me just say (well at least let those who are using Becker), If you have done the multiple choice a few times and reviewed the Sims, you will be fine!!!! I didn't think the test was anything out of the left field… I only wish I made it all the way through the book.

The only reason why I took it, is because my NTS expires… so we will see how this goes for me!

I hate how part of getting these question right is understanding what they are attempting to say. You know the material but you don't get what they are stating….

I didn't pass FAR, wanted to move on to another part, but I see it's better to go on and slay the beast instead of hiding from it. So back to the drawing board with a new determination to pass. I'm in … help me out gang.

Using yeager, wiley, and ninja products. Any more suggestions.? Maybe how to get over wounded ego?

Ok is it bad that when i try to do the derivatives in f10 for the sims i try to figure them out and its just like ughhh yea not really sure..trying to understand them, but might just have to hope i don't get them as a sim thursday.

@Mel4CPA – Me too! My test is on Friday and I'm struggling to care to do MCQs. I'm getting 85% on all the progress tests I take. Feeling confident…but that scares me! I shouldn't have started studying as early as a I did. I've been studying since mid-June and I'm so over FAR right now!!

@Cardea Have you written out the journal entries or done any of the SIMS? For the rest of the week i plan on supplementing my MCQs with writing journal entries and SIMS. I cannot do straight MCQs anymore.

Hey everyone,

Taking FAR in a few hours. did a quick review of the material from notes I had taken and the Becker Final Review from 2012.

Dont know what to do at this point besides chilling for a bit and going to the test center around 3:30 ET. The Exam is at 4:30 ET.

Hoping for the best. Think I've done a good amount of studying and can understand most of the material but there may be holes in my studying/things i forget.

Will let you guys know how it goes after I'm done which wont be until much later tonight.

@Solodolo You can take your exam that late? I thought the testing centers closed around 5? Are you sure your exam is not at 12:30? Or are you in a time zone other than ET?

Hi all,

I am scheduled to take FAR on Friday and I want to see if anyone can suggest ideas for the situation I'm in.

I have finished all chapters in the Becker Review (F1-F10). As of yesterday, I re-worked all MCQs F1-F5 and took a progress test of 50 questions resulting in a 82% (I was pretty drained from the day's session and overlooked a couple of dates, words, etc.)

With the 3 days I have left my plan is to:

Day 1-2 — re-work MCQs F6-F10 which should be easier since they are chapters I covered recently, especially F7-F10.

Day 3 — Final Exam 2 Becker in the morning at the same time my test is on Friday. Take the rest of the day light just glance over my notes to be rested come the following morning.

This is my first time testing so I am not sure what to expect. Thank you in advance for your suggestions.
