    Good luck today Qlad!

I'm preparing in about 8 weeks. I'm using Roger CPA review and I printed out his 6 month study planner and I'm loosly using that. I started out kind of slow in May, but now I'm down to 3 more weeks I'm officially freaking out. I feel like I need to stop sleeping in order to get through the number of mcq I would like to get through. UGH!!!

    FAR - 7/13 - 72, 11/13- 74, 2/14- 82!!! Best score ever (for me)!!!
BEC - 1/14 - 75!!! Perfect score! First Pass! YAY!!!
    AUD - 8/14 - 80!!!
    REG - 5/14 - 72, 10/14 - 66, 1/15 - 78 - DONE FOREVER!!!
I did 5 of the UNA and CPAExcel classes to earn units.

    @STEPHAV,

I just changed my test date to the 31. I was not going to change, but see if I could grind it out until the 15th, but I think I need to make sure I cover all the topics. I don't want to get there and wish I had studied better. the reschedule takes some pressure off, but you better know I am not half steppin. Bonds almost sent me into depression and I have not covered government yet. so much to do…so little time. Can't change again so it's on.

    It begins with a 75
Been here too long as a cheerleader....ready to pass

Right now I'm rewriting my notes and as I go I'm redoing all the questions in Roger's book. I am just about done with Fixed Assets, Chapter 8 of 32! There really is just SO much material. I know the first pass through the beginning chapters seemed to take longer, so I'm counting on that. My notes are probably like 100 pages hand written front to back… Plus I have taken notes on the mcq. I have like 4 notebooks going. I'm banking on writing this stuff to help it stick and make sense.

I bought the NINJA audio a few weeks ago. I like that it is concise. I nice review of the major topics. I really don't want to push back my exam date. I just have to stick it out.

@so1913 I am. I started June 9 .. exam on Aug 1st. It's not that bad but I've been in the library everyday for at least 7 hours. You can do it!

    - passed all 4 exams on my first try using Becker!

    Ethics: TBD

    Hey guys,

Just a quick question, If you would spend 12 – 14 hours a day on FAR do you think it is possible to get through a chapter a day or is that rushing it toooo much. I would like to have a 2 – 3 week review of everything.

    FAR - Soon hopefully
    AUD - after FAR
    BEC - after AUD
    REG - 72 - after BEC

Hi all, I'm giving this another go before my NTS expires. I picked 8/30 as my exam date and pretty much started Sunday.

    @StephAV
    – since I'm using Roger and trying to do the Ninja method too, and have given myself exactly 8 weeks, about how long did it take you to get through the 33 hours of lecture, I'm trying to knock those out and have 12 hours left (maybe better by this weekend, and hopefully get it out) is this what you did too?

@cpa565 – I spent pretty much the first 4 weeks, maybe it was 5? Doing the lectures the first time and taking notes, the first half, I was watching the lectures then reading his book and taking notes, it was taking so long, I went to just taking notes while watching the videos with some pausing and some reviewing of things I needed more time on. I started rewriting my notes a week ago and I'm redoing all the questions in Roger's book as I go. I've also been doing mcq on the sections on cpatestbank.com just because I'm anxious to get in as much mcq's as possible. I'm hoping to have a really nice set of notes when I'm done rewriting them no later than 1 week before my exam date. Last week I plan to do mcq's and read over my notes. I've also made some flashcards and I bought the NINJA audio.

@StephAV – thank you. that sounds cool, I think I'll be reading the Roger book and taking notes prior to doing the mcq for that section, and using the wiley t-bank too (although sometimes it seems like the problems in it are different than the one's in the roger/wiley books) doing it like that I'll probably be at the 4 – 5 weeks you're talking about, or at least I better be – lol…FAR is just so dang big.

@tncincy I'm going to see how things are progressing around 7/25 (2 weeks before test date) and take an honest assessment of my progress and will push back to the end of August if I need to!!! In the grand scheme of things pushing back until the end of the window for me is only an extra 14-16 days or so.

I think it's better to give yourself the extra time within the current window to tighten up and knock it out than to sit unprepared, fail, and extend the pain into October!

    REG: 75 DONE 🙂
    AUD: 61, 71, 68, 92 DONE 🙂
    BEC: 76 DONE 🙂
    FAR: 72, 74, 79 DONE 🙂

Anyone using Becker notice a problem with p. F9-11?

A1e contradicts with the note written on the bottom of the page.

I was considering pushing my exam up to Aug 10. Currently it is scheduled for Aug 31. I will be out of town from Aug 11-Aug 17th for work and I know that the long days of work related classes in Vegas are going to make it hard to study. I figured I could use the two weeks after to review and take the test…but I am concerned that the week off will not be good…

My true question is what are your opinions about taking the test a little early or taking it after a week off followed by two weeks of cram?

Extra info…I will have 11 days of review instead of 14 if I take it on the 10th

    AUD: I eliminated Medusa!

What do you guys think of my study plan leading up to the exam day?

I start working 7/8 (first day in the real world, Big Four) , FAR exam on 7/13.

Studying with Becker so this entire week, I flip pages in the book for a few mins and do all homework for 2 chapters a day Monday (1,2) Tuesday (3,4), Wednesday (5,6) etc… (takes about 10 hours in total)

Every morning I take a progress test on the 2 chapters I did the prior day for 30 questions each (ie. Wednesday, take 30MC progress test for ch 3,4)

do the 2 chapter homework for that day.

and finish it off by doing a progress test for all chapters I have done so far.

planning to take the 2 Becker final exams on Saturday and Sunday and continue doing progress tests and next week, keep doing progress tests at night and go over questions i get wrong and ready for my date with FAR on Saturday.

You guys think this is a good plan?

Hey everyone! I just finished up F10. How are most of you handling F10? Aside from going through the HW once, are any of you really spending any extra study time on it? Is there any section of it that is really important?

    Thanks!

@dropout – that plan sounds aggressive… So how long have you been studying for FAR? It sounds like 2 weeks? I guess it you are doing well on the progress tests then your method is working…
