Hey everyone, I'm finding F6 – Income Taxes to be really challenging. Does anyone have any tips/tricks for this section? I thought it would be easy for me since I already passed REG but it's not looking too good ..

    - passed all 4 exams on my first try using Becker!

I'm not using becker, but do you have any specific questions about income tax?

    It begins with a 75

@tncincy I answered every question about enacted tax rates/TEMP difference reversal wrong .. Could you explain what's happening here in layman's terms? Thank you!

    Hey all,

I finally got my performance report and am not sure what to make of it. Fellow Becker studyers, what sections would you say framework and standards, financial statement accounts, and specific transactions/events would be? Thanks!

@kels471 – framework is all F1, financial statement accounts could be F1-F7 as they all relate to financial reporting, same for specific transactions/events.

    Best of luck!

I just took a full practice test via Wiley Test bank and got a 76. How do I review the test? I would like to view which questions I got wrong but all I can view is my score report.

    FAR- PASSED (11/13)
    REG- PASSED (2/14)
    BEC- PASSED (5/14)
    AUD- PASSED (8/14)

If it's important to you, you will find a way. If it isn't, you will find an excuse.

I have a question on how Becker presents their SIMS. If for example it's one that you click on and select from a list of options, how do you make that space blank again if you accidentally selected something and then later see it was supposed to be blank. I'm not seeing a way to clear that space out again if you've selected something.

icanhazcpa – just do MCQ's. Review your mnemonics if you've been memorizing them. I wouldn't worry about becker's software with regards to studying. It's a trivial issue in relation to the material you are focusing on.

I am 17 days out from my exam and am beyond anxious already. I got a 72 last time, which was much better than I expected, but the performance report was discouraging as it showed me weaker in both the multiple choice and simulations. I have been rereading each chapter in Becker and redoing all of the mcq as well as a progress test after each chapter. And a chapter of flashcards each night. I will redo all sims once I finish the mcq and will be doing the gleim sims as well. Have also been writing ninja notes on and off. Hoping to take a practice exam the week before the exam to see where I'm at. Any other suggestions? I am also thinking about pushing the exam back a week so I can go boating for a couple days with a friend. Terrible idea?? I am mentally about to lose it. I don't currently have a job and all I do everyday is study. Any advice is appreciated!!

Why do they use credit – unrestricted contribution for materials that pass to a beneficiary?

Hey everyone, I took a practice test through Becker and in 1 of the Sims, it required entering journal entries. When I reviewed the report, although I had the correct amount for the correct account, I did not get credit for it. The question involved J/E for exchange lacking commercial substance…they had the correct order as:

Dr. New Bldg, Dr Cash, Dr Accum. Dpr, Cr Old Bldg and Cr Gain.

I switched the order of cash and accum dpr, (although the corresponding amounts were correct)….

Does anyone know if it's okay to have how I had it, or will it also be marked wrong on the exam? I didn't know that cash was supposed to be recorded right before accum. dpr

@ang I've been worried about that too, but I really dont think we'd be penalized for something like that. I bet it matches up the account name with the amount and makes sure it's right that way, the order of JEs in real life doesn't matter.

@icanhazcpa – thanks for responding! i agree, since the order in real life doesn't matter, they hopefully won't penalize us for that. I see you are taking FAR 7/1? I'm also taking it on that date! Best of luck!!! =)
