    @Workingmom

    Even though I said i am in the same boat, I have not spoken or seen my son in days. He is 14 months and when I go to work in the morning at 7:00 AM he is asleep, when I come back home at 11:00 PM (after studying at a local Coffee Bean) he is already asleep. I have allowed myself 10 weeks to get ready for Far which I will be taking in August. So far it is going really slow, I am having a hard time remembering the material having been out of school for years now (I am 35). Sometimes I start thinking “Am I too old for this?”. The biggest problem I have is that I have to read each line over and over again as somehow it does not register in my brain. I am using Wiley Books and Wiley CPATestBank.com plus Yager Audio Lectures when I am in the car. I study after work for 3 hours each day Mon-Fri and 5 – 6 hours each day on weekends. And I am not sure it will be enough too pass….

    FAR - 89
    AUD - 84
    BEC - 84
    REG - 49, 86
    ETHICS - 96........ DONE!!!

    @gorbuha That sounds terrible. People like you make me laugh at myself for ever complaining about taking this exam. I can honestly say that I could never do what you do. You're a very strong person.

    gorbhuba:

    We are CA candidates. And we have until 11/30/13 to apply for licensure in order to NOT have to have 150 credit hours like most other states. CA will enact the 150 credit hour rule for 2014 Dec. 1st of this year : /

    As if the chance of one (or more) of your sections expiring wasn't enough pressure.

    Thank you for the compliment but all that matters in the end whether you pass it or not. So I will not consider myself a strong person unless i pass the exam. On the contrary I would call you a strong person as you have already passed three of 4 with such great scores! Congrats and good luck! I am sure you will do it!

    I was going to take FAR in the next window. After failing AUD last window and some big life changes, I have decided to sit this window out and start fresh in the Oct/November with FAR. I am still studying now but don't feel as pressured. Good luck to everyone testing for July/August!

    I am sad that people around me have lost faith that i can pass……I have to do this for me…I do not have the words to thank u …

    Hello FAR friends.

    I just got back from the beach after celebrating passing REG. It's back to reality now and I'm starting FAR this week. Good luck to all of us studying!

    Contemplating buying Ninja Audio for FAR… You'd think I was spending a million bucks or something. I just keep thinking about it. Should I do it? Will I like it? Will it help me? Am I just trying to “throw money at the problem?” Anyone else super cheap? Lol… I even told my mom about it, that I'm trying to decide, I've read all the testimonials..

    FAR - 7/13 - 72, 11/13- 74, 2/14- 82!!! Best score ever (for me)!!!
    BEC - 1/14 - 75!!! Perfect score! First Pass! YAY!!!
    AUD - 8/14 - 80!!!
    REG - 5/14 - 72, 10/14 - 66, 1/15 - 78 - DONE FOREVER!!!
    I did 5 of the UNA and CPAExcel classes to earn units.

    @StephAV – I'm in the same boat…keep going back and forth. I really want it, but can't justify the expense right now (although to be fair, I want to buy the entire lite combo because I need all sections).

    FAR - [10/07/2013 --> 66] [07/07/2014 --> 86]
    BEC - [08/31/2014 --> 86]
    AUD - [11/24/2014 --> 88]
    REG - [02/14/2015 --> 92]

    @Steph & RandomAlt I LOVE the Ninja audio!!! It converts driving time into study time, which for me put another 1.5 hours of study time into my day! I have used Ninja audio for all 3 sections and I don't think I could have survived BEC without it. I've been listening to the FAR audio during my commute and I really like it. Jeff has great examples that really help the info stick…to illustrate cost associated with selling an asset he uses an example of someone who owns a nuclear power plant..you can't just pack up and leave…you have to fill the reactor with cement, bury the waste, etc. and those costs are factored into the sale. Is the example far fetched, sure! But will I think about it if I see an MCQ that wants me to factor in exit expenses to a sales NRV? YES 🙂 Ninja audio is full of helpful goodies like that! Its definitely worth the money!!!!

    REG: 75 DONE 🙂
    AUD: 61, 71, 68, 92 DONE 🙂
    BEC: 76 DONE 🙂
    FAR: 72, 74, 79 DONE 🙂

    Does anyone know if the factoring of account receivables has the same J/Es with and without recourse, but just different legal obligations? In my Becker notes, there is only an example for without recourse.

    @2013_CPA if you factor with recourse and you meet the three conditions listed in Becker, it's the same JE. If you don't meet all of those it's just a footnote, like with pledging.
