I haven't actually posted in a study group before now, for the first 2 exams I had a pretty established plan of attack and just stuck with it trying not to get too distracted. With FAR I have a feeling I may need a little more help staying focused, and figuring out exactly how to retain so much information without getting burned out. I am using Yaeger with Wiley books and test bank, and the Ninja materials. I have already been studying 2 weeks and I am taking FAR the first week in August, so I will have right at 12 weeks of study time planned. I usually study between 20 – 25 hours a week depending on if random events come up on certain nights, or if I can sacrifice an entire weekend. So heres to studying hard and hoping everyone has a successful 3rd quarter testing window!!

Just joined the forum! I do not have FAR scheduled yet, but I have been studying using 2011 Yaeger/Wiley materials until my NIU CPA Review course starts in June. I am planning on sitting early August.

I have been taking this exam since 2009 and cannot wait to get it out of my life! I passed AUD in 2009 with a 90, lost my score while I failed miserably at the other sections due to time demands at work. I am finally farther than I've ever been before on the CPA exam! I just found out I passed AUD (again) with a 91 and already passed BEC in April. Halfway to CPA baby!

@so1913..I don't know what to expect for FAR either. … I've heard so many horror stories and the fact that it's 10 chapters doesn't make it any better… but I'm going to try not to let what others say get me scared, lol.

@TaRenee I've scheduled my exam for July 31st and plan to start studying next week after memorial day (gave myself a mental break from studying after taking BEC othis past Friday). So that gives me about 9.5 weeks (I am also supposed to be traveling between July 11-18th which will definitely take away some time). I'm very nervous about this part because of how much material it covers in 10 chapters! I will need to make a decision soon if I need to back out of my travel plans, just go forward and allocate study time while away, OR go ahead with plans and push it into early August if needed. I'll think once I find out how I survived BEC I'll be able to make the decision since I am racing against a clock to hold on to AUD.

@so1913 … well mine is scheduled for August 12.. which would put me in the second wave of score release… I would love to know if I passed the beginning of August, which means I would have to take the exam by July 20th…. my birthday is the 23rd and it also expo weekend here in Indy… I just don't see myself getting back into study mode after that -_- …. I also don't want to rush it and risk failing.

I think after I get to the half way mark, I will look to reschedule. … if the day is available, then it was meant for me to take early.. if not, then I shall simply wait! lol

But I suppose I should be worried about BEC for now, lol… my test is next week for that. Luckily, I will only have to wait a week for my score…. I'm just READY TO BE DONE!!!!

Looks like I'm in the same boat as a few of you. FAR is my last exam and is scheduled for right before my birthday. Taking the test 07/12 and my birthday is 07/18. It would be nice to be done though I won't know my score.

I started studying on 05/10 and I'm on my last day with F3. So far, I'm doing pretty terrible on the MCQs. Even worse than I was in REG and I didn't think that was possible. I've heard F4 is really rough too so I'm going to try and plow through that this weekend with three days off.

Hopefully, it will all come together like it has for the last 3. My plan is to enter final review around 06/23 and just work a ton of MCQs and rewrite the notes a few times.

Good luck to all studying. I know I'm going to need it on this one.
