Question. I am currently using Becker and supp with Wiley Test Bank and Ninja Audio. I have taken FAR twice and am set for round #3 in Jan. Anyone love other study materials and would recommend them? I feel like I went through about 75% of Wiley TB and all of Becker HW. I could go through them again – but I am worried I might be memorizing answers and not learning concepts at this point. Thanks guys!

    AUD Passed,84
    REG Passed,84
    BEC Passed,77
    FAR 69,63,84!!

@Kristen85 You need the videos to lay the foundation for learning and give you the details. The audio is a great tool to help you review after you've watched your videos and taken detailed notes. It's also a great way to help keep information you've already processed fresh in an executive summary kind of way. It's a great combo but you need the vids or book first! If you don't like the idea of watching videos, I used the Wiley textbook+bank for REG and my successful audit score. BEC and FAR I picked up the Yeager cram because of the mass quantity of info FAR and the honest truth that I suck at cost accounting on BEC! Yeager will also have you pick up the Wiley text as that is what they lecture out of…the book is a good resource and very cost effective. Make sure you watch the demos before giving up your visa info! 🙂

    REG: 75 DONE 🙂
    AUD: 61, 71, 68, 92 DONE 🙂
    BEC: 76 DONE 🙂
    FAR: 72, 74, 79 DONE 🙂
    Licensed Michigan CPA 🙂

@Readytobedonenow what was your study approach the first two times? Did it involve any note-taking? I've never had to re-take. I am trying to recommend what worked for me.

I watched Becker lectures and did about half of Wiley TB first time around. Second time around I took notes over MC that I didn't quite understand and did the second half of Wiley TB. I listened to Ninja Audio about 4 times each testing window. SIMS are my nightmare. I really need to bring that section up because I left 2 blank (ran out of time) the second time and know it is because I did not understand the concepts or I would have moved at a faster pace. Just curious if Yaegar or CPA excel are worth the added investment or if there is a smarter way to study what I have. My study method worked for the other 3 exams – that is why I am at a loss on this one.

    BEC Passed,77
    FAR 69,63,84!!

I plan on skipping the Becker lectures for this section. I have obtained a book with all the highlights and notes. Do you think that will suffice. I seriously believe the lectures DID NOT help me pass my other exams. I am taking the test at the end of January and think my time is better spent reading and doing MC. If anyone disagrees, please let me know.
