Encumbrance is basically a reserve for the funds against the budget. It's reversed out when you get the actual bill, or pay the invoice. Then it becomes an expenditure.

    FAR - 93
    REG - 87
    BEC - 84!!!!
AUD - 99!!!!!! CPA exam complete.

@Cracked: Yes I feel the same way. I agree with you that SIM always have too much information. After so many MCQs, the last thing I want to read is SIM and do it. 🙁

I'm using Becker so it doesn't give you solution right away like when you work on MCQs. So I print out solutions and plan to re-do SIMs in the weekend, when my head is more free. I too occasionally freak out that there are more SIMs on the exam (in fact there is only 1 on FAR) so I feel a little less overwhelming now.

I plan to review flash cards during the week, and do the test once again in the weekend. We'll see if it will help with the anxiety. The only thing on SIMs that is good is the last task; where I only have to look up FASB code. I also conclude that the questions are long; so I just try to go one by one…

    Let's see!

    Hello Everyone!

Took the FAR exam yesterday and overall the experience wasn't too pleasant.

The multiple choice packets on a scale of 1 – 10 (10 being hardest) went something like….3…8…6. The simulations were HORRIBLE – a couple of the questions were so poorly written I wasn't even sure what they were asking. Hoping for the best, but not looking good.

The question I had for you guys is does anyone know how many of the simulations are test simulations – I am not sure if it is two or three.

    Thanks,

@ CPAMommyof3, I also feel like I need to reschedule and take my exam in April (current exam date 2/28) just so I can feel comfortable. I really don't think that will be ready. I am on F4 out of 10 modules in Becker. I know I moving slow, but I have to grasp the concept before I can move on!
