@mommy i also feel that videos are kind of useless at times but I always fear that leaving out the vids might not be the wisest thing. Im just not sure, so i am currently watching the vids and making notes and listening to ninja audio. i will read the book again once im done with the vids and notes. I dont see this exam happening in feb at this point. let's just hope the weekend brings some miracle for all of us and we can make this happen in feb 🙂

@CPAmommy, I think the videos are kind of a crutch…mostly I'm terrified to not watch them because I always have…but generally speaking they do nothing for me. I'd say toss them and only go back and watch them if you are doing questions in a topic and really struggling or if you've read through a topic and aren't getting it. It almost always makes more sense to me when I'm reading it anyway and it's infinitely faster when you're trying to get through a section faster. I think it's our nature to want to be taught something…but with the CPA exam we all already have accounting degrees so we've been taught this stuff already…so what we actually need the practice on is the question wording…and a refresh on some of the very specific rules that we don't deal with in our day to day jobs…unfortunately doing the questions ALL day every day is horrifyingly boring and the lectures can provide a bit of a break so I think people watch them to stall and take a break yet still feel productive sometimes too…just because doing MCQ's all day can be exhausting…especially in FAR when so many of them can involve computations. But I think if you are really trying to finish in Feb, I'd skip the majority of them unless there is an area you really think you need a refresh on. *my two cents, as always*

If I just read the text and do the questions, it is harder for me to understand the material. If you are in a time crunch, I recommend reading and doing the questions first and if you have time, watch the videos. Yes, the videos are boring but they are very helpful IMO because they go over important topics, mnemonics, etc.
