    Hello All,

Is anyone using Wiley? I feel like I cannot get my scores to improve. I'll get scores in the 60's and well I just don't know how to get better short of memorizing a few rules here and there. Given there are so many areas to cover I'm trying to get through the material though I would prefer to get a section “down” before moving on. That seems impractical due to having 5 weeks left to study and 19 out of 25 sections still untouched =( How do you move through the material and improve? I feel so slow =( [putting in 3 good hours a weeknight and all day on weekends]

@Cricket, I am not doing MCQ yet, but maybe you should try and read over your notes on the sections where you are not improving…this may help to boost your score and clear your understanding of the topic, esp since you still have 5 weeks left…I plan to do this once I start the WTB questions. Also, are you taking notes after each question? This will help with the memory issue, repetition is key…

    Florida:
AUD: 73, 81! Thank you Lord!
BEC: 73, 77! Thank you Lord! and WTB
REG: 71, 82! Thank you Lord! and A71
FAR: 72, 78! Thank you God and my Mommy in Heaven!

@moreinfo thanks for the advice. I think I'll continue to re-read the important parts of the book, and work on MCQ as planned, all the while keeping an extra focus on JEs and making sure I understand the concepts, not the questions. VERY nervous about the SIMs still!

    FAR: 86
    AUD: 88
    REG: 85
    BEC: 84
    DONE!

Man, FAR is just an absolute monster. I finally passed my first CPA exam in Nov (got an 82 on BEC). I've taken the other 3 at least once, now I'm gearing up for the FAR retake, trying to get Pass #2 under my belt. I still have more than a month to go until exam day (Feb 14th), but I'm feeling discouraged about my scores on the Becker homework. I'm getting really crappy #s – rarely in the 70-80% range that would make me feel comfortable. I know it is mostly a matter of drilling down and figuring out which topics are the problem areas and spending time with them. I will do that and I'm sure in a couple weeks I will be in a much better place, but I'm not there yet.

Sorry – sometimes with these exams you just need to vent and I'm sure many of you know exactly where I'm coming from!

    BEC - 69, 70, 82 - DONE
    FAR - 59, 77 - DONE
    REG - 53, 70, 85 - DONE
    AUD - 66, 68, 70, 85 - DONE

The first time I passed FAR (80%) I did a bunch of flash cards in addition to the ones I already had from Becker. This is the same as taking notes, but you are pretty much turning your facts into questions and then an answer in the back. It really helps, but is very time consuming. Im doing the same this time around and I really hope it works like before.
