Sitting for FAR on 1/6/14

If I've been using Wiley 2013 books, is that going to present an issue at all? I figured it was so early in 2014 that it might not matter.

I'd really like to say I can take FAR in February 2014, but I'm concerned that with the year-end workload I'll have to push it to April 2014 when things slow down. I'm beginning my studies this month regardless. 2014 will be my CPA year!!!!

@cpa066729 What is the answer to your MCQ? If you post the solution, we can work it backwards and pick apart the answer explanation to dig deeper.

I'm going through Gov. with a fine tooth comb for the next few days! It was my only weak topic on my 74 FAR score report and I will not let it get the better of me again!!! I'm paying extra attention to the government wide and fund financials also.

@AsbestosPenguin I'm also using my 2013 Wiley text for my 1/6 retake and don't see any issue with doing so either.

I am using Becker Review though my software have expired. Paid almost $3.2k early 2012 to becker..I attempted AUD twice and FAR once with no single pass, life got in my way with new born baby and was also disappointed at myself so I gave up.

Funny thing, all my aspirations point back to me having my CPA so I am back with a vengeance. I combining Becker Text, Ninja Audio and Notes with Wiley Test Bank.

I am planning to take the test end of January, I will be using Dec to read my text and rewrite the first Ninja Notes, Jan 2014 will be MCQ galore and rewrite the ninja notes again.

Let's see if all my plans will work as scheduled, good luck to everyone!

To all the passed FAR candidates,

After 2 sittings with FAR, grades are 68 and 70. I am now regrouping and hoping to get some fresh approach to studying for this exam.

I sat for Audit November 30th, and now I am planning to retake FAR mid January. I have lectures, notes and test Bank.

I am also working full-time and I try to study every chance I get. Somehow, I feel like I need some new study techniques. Any advise will be welcome. Thanks!
