I didn't catch that one. Hopefully I don't become a guinea pig. Anyways, how should I prepare for simulations? I did WTB and Wiley book simulations (including researches) over and over again. I don't think it is enough. I thinking of using my old textbook for work out problems.

    FAR-82!
    REG-82 Again!
    BEC-78!
    AUD-84!

Done with the exam and LICENSED in VA as of 11/17/2015.

@AOCI – The WTB simulations are definitely not enough. I normally really struggle with simulations and didn't get anything below a 74 on them. I have found that Gleim has the toughest simulations, if you have the funds, I would invest in just the simulation wizard from them (if that's available). Otherwise, check out the AICPA released questions and simulations and practice those. It would be better than nothing. Good luck!

Becker self study | Becker flashcards | Gleim | self written notes | WTB

Today is the day I start studying for the beast – FAR – I took it twice already with scores that I am ashamed of revealing. But this time is different; I made a point that I will become a hermit instead of attending every dinner invitation from my family. All I care about is passing the CPA – NO TV, NO books, NO nothing… just studying. Then I open the book and I feel overwhelmed. How do I start?

    FAR - 61
    REG - 02/28/15
    BEC - ??
    AUD - ??

    VI Local Exam - ??

It's not about how BAD you WANT it. It's About how HARD you are willing to WORK FOR IT!!!

“NO nothing… just studying. Then I open the book and I feel overwhelmed. How do I start?”

Start with the first step. I prefer watching the lectures and pausing them to write stuff down. I need to do multiple choice from the test bank to keep me interested. Missing MC questions motivates me to figure out why I missed them. I'll totally zone out if im not active.

Don't keep going if you get lost, try to figure out why you are lost and post a question here.

set yourself a timer. 30 minutes on ten minutes off. It's hard to psyche yourself up to study for 8 hrs, but 30 minutes is easy when you know youve got a 10 minute break coming up.
