kels417Member@LStevens….in the Becker book – Comparability and Consistency are listed as characteristics that apply to BOTH relevance and faithful representation. They call them “secondary characteristics”.

MintsRGoodParticipant@ kels417 You are ready to rock on the 2nd!!!!! 🙂
The past 2-3 days have not been study schedule friendly, so here is my “hail mary” plan for the next 9 days: 60 hours of study, minimum of 100 MCQs per day+write up of incorrect responses, 22 pages per day of note recopy (goal of recopying twice), flashcards anywhere possible, and only Ninja Audio in the car. If I make the next 9 days as study intensive as possible, maybe I can make them the last days I'll ever have to study again!!! 🙂
Death to FAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
REG: 75 DONE 🙂
AUD: 61, 71, 68, 92 DONE 🙂
BEC: 76 DONE 🙂
FAR: 72, 74, 79 DONE 🙂
Licensed Michigan CPA 🙂

kels417MemberAbout to take a practice exam. I think I'll take the Gleim one since it seems to be the most brutal study program and I haven't taken it before. Wiley is good for mcq, but their simulations are a joke. Here I goooo! Be back in 4+ hours to report my results and feelings.

kels417MemberWell guys, I'm not too disappointed in myself with my results for this Gleim exam. I'm actually somewhat excited!
Overall 73.33% for mcq and sims were at a 56.31%. Testlet 1: 73.33%. Testlet 2: 66.67%. Testlet 3: 80%!
Considering my sim scores were closer to 30-40% when I went through each study unit, I am pleased. And it looks like I'm right where I need to be with mcq. Now just need to review the 3-4 sections that I didn't do great on and I think I'll be ready to kick FAR's butt!!!

kels417MemberSorry again for double posting, but Gleim totally screwed me out of points for the simulations. I actually had a 69% on them and not a 56.31%. And if the hardest sim would have been dropped like in the real exam, I would have gotten an 80%!! Wow! Talk about a confidence booster! 🙂

ItsStudyTimeMemberI finished reading the book and started reviewing my notes, making note cards, and doing WTB practice sessions on Friday. After hearing FAR hyped up so much, I'm kind of relieved by what I've seen so far. Maybe it's because I do financial accounting and reporting for a living and not tax or auditing, but FAR seems so much better than REG and AUD, and I'm so much more comfortable with the material.
How does the FAR material stack up to the other sections for you guys?
BEC - 10/01/2013 - 80 - Wiley books and test bank
AUD - 10/21/2013 - 78 - Wiley books and test bank
REG - 11/27/2013 - 78 - Wiley books and test bank
FAR - 01/13/2014 - 79 - Wiley books and test bank, Ninja BlitzLicense Issued 03/17/2014

AnonymousInactiveWhich chapters of FAR take disproportionately longer than other chapters? When I took REG, it felt like R3 took an eternity relative to other chapters. I'm trying to budget my time according to about 1 chapter per week. When I did that with REG though, R3 screwed me all up. Are there any chapters in FAR that are considerably longer / more challenging for most people?
