Took the exam yesterday and I am not feeling too good about my chances. Will probably continue studying FAR until next friday. Is that a good idea or should I move on? I was thinking I would give FAR another shot if I failed maybe the second week of April.

@rvcpa – I'm testing tomorrow and regardless of how I feel walking out, I'm going to wonder the same thing. I'd like to take REG the first week of April and FAR after (if I fail) but don't wanna lose all this FAR knowledge while studying for REG. If only scores were immediate…

I've pondered this over and over. I was sure I had failed REG in November (and got very discouraged over it). I reluctantly moved on to FAR while still studying my flashcards for REG. Once the scores came out, then I could move forward. That is probably what I will do with this test as well.

    REG - Nov 4, 2013: 88
    FAR - Feb 27, 2014: 86
    AUD - April 5, 2014: 91
    BEC - May 6, 2014: 83

    Florida CPA 24 July 2014
(Done in seven months - thank you Jesus!!)

Bummie- Thanks for replying, I really dont want to lose this knowledge either. I really feel like I am only a few points away and dont want to risk setting myself back. If I failed, it was because of the sims and I can deff overcome them so I am really leaning to just keep studying for FAR.

So during the 8-11 days between testing and receiving scores, you recommend moving on the the next section while staying fresh on FAR until scores are released? How about after. If you fail FAR, do you drop your next section and go back to studying for FAR until you pass it, or test on the next section then follow that up with FAR? This will be my first exam, so I'm new to the process. Input on what's worked best for you all is appreciated.

Bummie- I would recommend staying fresh on FAR until you recieve your score so you do not lose anything. Its only a week until score release day so it wont set you back too much. IF you do decide to move on I would recommend sticking to two sections at a time until you pass one and then move on.

Thanks rvcpa – will take all that into consideration this weekend when putting together my study plan for March.
