AnonymousInactive@CPABeliever – I do believe in practicing the SIMs. The SIMs Gleim provides are really great practice and most are not easy, but I find myself understanding the topics much better by practicing the SIMs.
@Kels – Yes, Gleim does make you think you are doing much worse than you really are because the difficulty level seems to be quite a bit harder, but I like that, because it actually prepares you better for the exam, IMO. I plan on doing questions on xmas day, but we'll see how it goes. 🙂 I've read a few times in emails I've gotten from Gleim, that they consider a 65% on a study unit passing.

gytdytMemberI only use Wiley cus its the cheapest material. : (
Flipping the book I saw so many familiar terms, so Im wondering if I can pass the FAR while enjoying the winter. : )
Thank you for your insight that FAR is about width not the depth. Sounds like another “BEC” to me. Guess I'll cram for it.
Anyway, good luck to your final match! You can nail it!
BEC -- 78 11/27/13
REG -- 2/26
FAR -- 81 1/17/14

MintsRGoodParticipant@gytdyt I use Wiley also! I've checked out Becker and looked at their demos and it isn't a good learning style for me. And I can't bring myself to drop that kind of money on a review course when Wiley has been good to me! I started using the Wiley textbooks when looking for a change for audit retake #4. As you can see it really did the trick for me! I used Wiley for BEC and am currently using it for FAR. The Wiley text has tons of simulations to practice with…which is really the only to prepare for SIMS…lots of practice!
REG: 75 DONE 🙂
AUD: 61, 71, 68, 92 DONE 🙂
BEC: 76 DONE 🙂
FAR: 72, 74, 79 DONE 🙂

AnonymousInactiveHow are y'all managing the Holidays? Do you have a creative way of finding hidden study time?
I am failing utterly. I specifically rearranged my work schedule, I planned to sneak off to study at an undisclosed location, but all my plans have been thwarted by kids being off early due to snow days, unexpected house guests, and my mom being hospitalized. Today I got up at 5:30 so I had some solid hours in before the household demanded my attention.
