How many weeks are you guys planning on putting into FAR? I was thinking of testing 1/18 and have been studying since last week so far chapters 1 and 3 I've done. This is a re-take so I thought I would save dreaded chapter 2 for the holidays when I'm off.

I'm in too and I plan on scheduling for February once I get the clear to test (eligibility met, just waiting for letter). This will be my first section and I'm planning on using CPAexcel, Wiley Test Bank and Ninja 10pt combo. Any feedback on CPAexcel? Curious to see how it stacks up compared to Yaeger.

Someone was asking about Revenue recognition in Fiduciary Funds. Here's what I've found in CPA excel:

Some CPA exam questions still ask about the amount of Revenue or Expense recognized in Fiduciary Funds. Although GASB now requires Fiduciary Funds to report Additions and Deductions in their financial statements, it is permissible to record Revenues and Expenses in the fund and simply convert them to Additions and Deductions for reporting purposes. Consequently, questions that ask about Revenue or Expense recognition in the funds can be answered without undue concern about the terminology used in the question.

    NYC, NY
    FAR - 82 Jan 2014
    AUD - 86 Apr 2014
    BEC - 77 Aug 2014
    REG - 79 Nov 2014

I'm taking FAR at the end of the testing window, probably on 2/28. I have 6 chapters left…bluh. Hopefully governmental accounting will be okay to learn since it may be similar to higher ed accounting, which I did for about 4 years.

    FAR - 76
    AUD - 88!!! DONE!!!!!!!!
    BEC - 76
    REG - 77

Hey everyone. I'll be joining the study group as well for a re-take Jan. 2nd since I didn't register soon enough and all of the weekend spots were taken :(.

What are your strategies for studying around the holidays? I think that may be one of my biggest challenges this time around.
