AnonymousInactiveJust passed AUD and getting ready to tackle FAR… I am thinking it will be similar to REG with a ton of different categories and topics to cover so I am giving my self plenty of time. Planning to sit 2/28. I am using Becker self study and it has worked really well for me so far… I was really pressed for time and only got through the videos and MCQ once for AUD and I did pretty good. Definitely going to make sure I have more time for FAR. Here we go again =)

lapka1983MemberHi guys, I'm new here and new in the whole CPA preparation journey… I started studying FAR a week ago. Listened to F1 in Becker 2013,did MC questions, rewrote Ninja notes for related sections 4 times..It seemed I did ok (around 80% on MC) until I got to the last set of MCQ at the end of the Chapter. Yesterday I did those 56 MCQ…and scored only 50%
I'm very disappointed…any suggestions?

kels417Member@lapka1983 – try not to focus too much on the percentage. Make sure you read all the answer explanations even if you got something right, this will help you learn. I would suggest rereading that particular section and writing down the important areas, then retake the MCQ. If you are able to learn from your mistakes, you likely won't make those same mistakes on the real exam! Best of luck to you!

AnonymousInactiveI just started studying last week. I'm halfway into F-2. After this week, I'm planning on doing 2 chapters a week through the holiday season.
I'm supposed to take FAR sometime in late January, but I haven't scheduled yet. When would be a good time to do that? I'm trying to wait the longest time possible just in case something happens that forces me to reschedule.

ILCPA2014ParticipantI am in. I am planning to take FAR in Feb 2014. I started this CPA journey few months ago but got terrible scores FAR 58 and AUD 33. I recently got hired in local CPA firm and now I am encouraged to take the test again and hopefully pass.
AUD Passed 78 (4x) Thank you Lord.
REG Passed 81 (2x) Thank you St Joseph of Cupertino
FAR Passed 77 (3x) Thank you St Joseph of Cupertino. Thank you Lord.
BEC TBD
My CPA journey started in 2013 and it will be finished in April 2016. That's for sure!!

kels417Member@Entendu – I would schedule it as soon as possible. Remember you can always change the date for no fee within 30 days of the exam, so if you aren't feeling prepared, you can push it back. You will find (at least I do) that the testing centers fill up quickly.
