I plan on skipping the Becker lectures for this section. I have obtained a book with all the highlights and notes. Do you think that will suffice. I seriously believe the lectures DID NOT help me pass my other exams. I am taking the test at the end of January and think my time is better spent reading and doing MC. If anyone disagrees, please let me know.

@ HeartsMimiCPA, I plan to take FAR in Feb and I'm studying about 20 hours per week. I'll also add a few more hours a during my Xmas break from work. Best of luck!

@ classypizza, if you feel that's going to help you do it… I feel like the lectures actually help me remember some things. We gotta do whatever we think is the best to pass.

I am re-taking FAR at the end of January. Should I start from the beginning or focus on areas I struggled with and work backwards? Thoughts?

I'm in with you guys as well for the end of February. It will be my first exam… looking to get FAR out of the way first. Luckily, I'm off for about 2 months, so full time studying should get me to where I need to be by the end of February.

@ gabequinn, I would say start with your weak areas and continue on to the others. I just finished watching the lecture from Becker for chapter 2, I Can't wait to finish all. :0)

@Readytobedonenow If you've never read the Becker book, I'll suggest reading the book and focusing more on the highlighted parts. Then taking notes as you read. The key to doing well on simulation is understanding the concept so that you can apply it to any type of situation you are given.

What I have found is that actually reading the book makes you understand the logic beind the information because as you read you will be able to connect the dots together. I hand wrote my notes when I studied with Becker, and I read them multiple times.

I wish there was a way I could share them for people to use.

I meant to post here last week.

I studied FAR in Feb-Mar but because of life / family / work / black out windows / expiring NTS, I decided to wait to take the test and am now in review mode.

    My plan is to:

Rewatch my Roger videos; pausing every other second to type what he says while re-typing his book. And will recreate every single Journal Entry and Ratio he throws at me (I hate JEs & Ratios…blah). I'll even create fake company(s) in excel and/or Quickbooks if it'll me understand what the JEs accomplish. That'll take me at least a month.

Then will go through every WTB question and SIM. Handwrite every single one I get wrong, along with the answers and explanations from the text and the hints.

Write Ninja notes twice. I'm tempted to write out the flashcards too.

Do every single recent AICPA released question I can find, including handwriting all that I get wrong.

I'll watch Ninja Blitz the day before the test.

All while listening to Ninja Audio in my car.

I really hope that will be enough for me to learn and understand all of this and pass.

I'm tempted to buckle down and read and write out the Wiley book too. My NTS expire mid April so I could reschedule. But I'm also afraid of taking too long and forgetting everything I'm leaning now in December.

    CPA (MA, Non-Reporting)

The difference in winning & losing is most often, not quitting - Walt Disney

    B - 33, 71, 79!
    A - 32, 61, 70, 83!
    R - 33, 58, 73, 69, 81!
    F - 47, 78! 🙂
After 3 long years, I'm finally DONE!
I could not have done it without NINJA MCQs.

Used: Roger for his Videos, WTB, and NINJA Audio, Notes and Test Bank.
