Petree, I've been scored low 80's by Becker and so far I got 81 and 82. I don't think that getting 70's by Becker is enough.

There are definitely more than one way to skin the cat thats for sure. Thats why I'm trying to cover all the techniques people have recommended.

I've re-wrote ninja notes, I'm on my third read on the literature and I'm trying to hammer out as many multiple choice questions as I can. During downtime, I whip out flashcards I have on my iphone and work through those. I like at least setting the multiple choice questions in 90 question blocks so I get a feel of how long my mind will need to be actively engaged in material during the actual. I feel like its been working well so far but I guess we'll see. I'm starting to second guess my studying techniques now but I'm hoping it all pays off.

What has helped a lot too is working problems with all of you. The best way to learn things I feel like is teaching them to someone else. If I can explain something, that means I probably understand it.

I'm down to less than 72 hours here, any last minute advice?

I'm in final review mode. Just finished reviewing F4 and completed a 40 question progress test on F1-4 in Becker. I got an 85% and didn't get below an 80% in any section. Man that felt good! Time to keep the momentum going for another 10 days!

Keep pushing through FAR family! With repitition and practice comes success.

@peetree – just keep your eyes on the prize. Is this your first exam? Based on your scores you are in really good shape. I would just keep doing whatever will keep the information fresh in your mind. I never like studying the night before. If I don't know it already, I probably won't know it by morning. I try to keep relaxed as much as possible, get a good nights sleep, and rock the exam the next morning.

@Peetree- One thing I have noticed with becker is once I do the MCQ a couple times I start to memorize the answers. So try to be honest with yourself and evaluate if you are doing so well because you memorized the answers or really do know the material.

If you are just memorizing the answer, you might want to think about trying to find new questions to practice.

I know what you mean! I was worried about that as well when I first started doing them. What is weird is that the type of questioning looks familiar, but none of the answers do, I can't remember any of them. There is one question in the consolidations chapter that I'll see and go, “Hey I remember this ridiculously long question” but I don't remember the number or answer.

I think I'm only going to do a couple of more progress tests (2 max) and then the two final practice tests (that have never been worked questions on them) Then just re-read ninja notes, and flashcards.

Power night! Who is down till 1:00am EST,chapter 7 needs to go down tonight then move to chapter 8 and finish 9 by Friday then start my review from this coming saturday. The good thing is I am comfortable with all the chapters except Govt accounting. We will see how it will go down. I have also requested for two days off from work to be able to prepare fully before my exams on 27th

Good Evening Far Fam!!

Powering thru chapter 8!! Plan to wake up early tomorrow again and finish up the chapter so I can start chapter 9 after work.

Stuff is piling up at work, I feel guilty leaving at 5 every night and not putting in overtime to help my team get caught up..but I gotta remember better to focus on studying now and be done with this test in a couple months than half-apply myself and be retaking forever!!!

(I find myself unable to study after 9 pm, my comprehension drops and my homework score drop rapidly. I found I do much better waking up extra early before work and studying. Anyone else have similar issues?)
