Accumulated OCI is still presented in the BS for IFRS and GAAP, correct?

@MCLKT yes you are definitely correct.

AOCI is most definitely presented on the balance sheet.

Thanks Peetree! I told you brain is mush! So, did you look at my explanation? is it following only GAAP or would it be true for IFRS? Maybe I just need to make an IFRS notecard for Pensions to reiterate the differences.

Okay…I think I understand. So for IFRS, past pension costs and unrecognized gain/loss are expensed in full in the period incurred instead of put into OCI and amortized.

    Thanks guys!

    uh… I got lots :/

    Group 1:

Inventory, Fix. Assts, Investments, NFP, Current Asst./Lia, Present Value: Debt and fundamentals, Deferred Taxes, Financial Instruments, Gov't and IFRS overall review.

If I have time, go back to Group 2: Basic Concepts, Pensions, Leases, Bonds, and Consolidations.

I really need to get a couple practice exams behind me.

Do you think I should wait until I review the top group or just force myself through one?

I got one question : why is this practice test so important? I have never tried ( not even one). I rather spend those 4 hours on my weaker area then practicing test & getting discouraged. .. may be its meee

@Nam I think for me at least, the practice exam will allow me to enter at a bunch of new questions I've never seen, while simulating the exam environment with the simulations and testlets.

I'm more doing it to ensure my time management is appropriate.

I guess in my mind the practice test is just like going to track practice. I'm just trying to build my endurance.

Working through 30 MCQ's a time is good to learn and retain. But sitting for a full practice is good for test taking skills.

I even add visualization. I imagine I'm at Prometric and think “how will I handle this feeling on test day”. You know, 50 questions in when you start to get weary… if you practice putting yourself in that situation now, it isn't as intimidating on test day. I like to do it 3 times at least. It's not so much about the score, but I like to get above an 80 before test day.

I've taken 70 90 question practice exams and I'm averaging a 92%. I'm ready to kill this exam this weekend.

Tomorrow is full on practice exam 1 and full on practice exam 2 on Friday with two more 90 question progress tests planned as well.

    Lets GO FAR FAM!

    NO TURNING BACK NOW!

I decided to postpone my test by a week. I just don't feel confident enough right now and I absolutely do not want to have to go through this all over again.

Anyway, for those of you who are using becker, is there a way to randomize the topics on the progress tests? I know we can choose which ones we want to be tested on, but they always come in order (i.e. first the F1 mcq's, then F2, F3, and so on). I find that this gets me in the mindset of that chapter, thus making the questions easier. Unfortunately, the actual exam isn't like that and it really hurt me on the practice test I did yesterday.

As far as I can there isn't, but if somebody knows how to I'd really appreciate it if you could let me know how to set that up.

    Just keep at it @Gobias

The consensus around these parts is if you put the studying time in, and you are scoring in the 70s on Becker, you'll probably score in the 80s on the actual exam. Just keep plowing through practice questions.

Unfortunately, I haven't figured out a way to randomize the questions.

I've been trying to almost memorize the style of questioning for each section so I know where to put my head when reading questions on the actual exam.
