HustlinHustlinMemberLacked motivation totally this weekend. Still working on F2 (except I decided to skip Matching and hit it in the end so it is fresh). I did really well on all the F1 questions (75%+) but am doing hooooorrrrriiiblyy on F2 (30%/starting to just guess just so I don't waste time/losing confidence)
I'm really disappointed in my willpower this weekend, but then again, I am only about a day behind schedule if I finish the rest of F2 tonight.
Keep on keeping on FAR fam. Maybe I will rewrite my notes before I hit this chapter again. I just am NOT getting it.

IgotthisParticipantSuper discouraged today. Been working on Stockholder's equity the whole weekend. Quite frustrated at myself right now; Currently working on wiley questions and it seemed like nothing I studied this weekend stuck…
Is anyone as lost as I am for stockholder's equity?
Hope everyone had a more productive weekend then I did… Def, not looking forward to work this week…
@Nam, Feel better!!
Everyone stock up on Emergen-Cs, this is a very bad flu season….

gobiasMemberI just started studying for FAR on Tuesday (exam scheduled for 2/15) and went through F1 pretty quickly. I was feeling pretty good after that, but F2 is slowing me down.
The matching section is very dense and it was taking me an eternity to get through the MCQs, but I finally started to get it towards the end and picked up the pace. The questions about differences in NI under the cash and accrual bases seem to take me a long time for some reason. I'm hoping I can be really productive tomorrow and finish the chapter.
The way I've been studying so far is by watching the videos while highlighting the book and taking notes of my own. Then I go back to read the chapter and my notes before doing the MCQs. After going through the entire chapter, I repeat all the MCQs and Sims once more. It doesn't look like I'll be using the flashcards very much though.

yemdrossMemberSo I have set my alarm to wake me up @ 5:15am everyday so I can knock off 1 hour before I go to work . I commute 50 mins to work each way so by 7:15am i should be out of the door. Hopefully this would work. I need to chew FAR like eating a gum until I know it in and out. I am going to be over productive this week. Finishing F2 this morning with SIM and moving to F3 when I get back from work.
I believe in power OF self will & positive thinking . I will move myself to knock this giant down!
Cheers to all of us and wishing us all a productive week ahead!

TncincyParticipantThis is my beginning of rising early to study. I couldn't sleep. I studied all week end. I felt very productive. So I thought since I can't sleep no need to just lay here start studying. So I'm up and moving. Loging out so I can remain productive….I think this just might work. Make this a great day Far fam.

AnonymousInactiveWhat's up my beautiful FAR fam!
Sooooooo…I wasn't as productive as I had planned on being…I am almost done with my Ch.6 notes…and after those are done I'll read through them, do the MCQs and SIMS and then do a progress test on all 5 chapters I've studied thus far.
@Igotthis: Ch. 7 was a bit of a doosey for me too…took longer than expected to get SE down…but I think i'm good now. I decided to take Nam's approach and take time out to understand the areas I struggle with instead of just skipping past it. I know it will pay off.
I also think I was unrealistic with my study goals this weekend…c'mon…i mean get through 3 chapters of material over the weekend? That's foolish in my world.
So this week I'm going to plan on being through Ch.3 by the weekend.
Wishing everyone a great week of studying 🙂

yemdrossMemberOk, I realized, I have been playing myself on SIM, this is my second attempt with FAR so I had already answered the SIM questions in my becker review one time so this time around with chapter 1, I was able to knock off the 7 SIMs in becker within 1 hour.
This morning with chapter 2, I was like wait a minute, what of if i delete the stats and pretend as if I am doing FAR for the first time, lo and behold, I spent an hour on SIM no 1. Lesson learned, sometime we thought we know the material because we are familiar with the questions. Keep testing your knowledge until you are confident that you know the material in and out.
Have a wonderful day FAR folks!

HustlinHustlinMemberNam! Keep your head up! I think you are in good shape – plus you have the experience and studying from last time you took the exam to build on.
I'm doing… okay. Off schedule as well. Plugging through F2 and I KNOW I will have to go back and hit it again. I am doing terribly on it. Thinking I might rewrite my notes for each section before I begin so that I at least have a basis.
@gobias – I am having a terrible time with matching too, which I would think would be the easiest – but they are SO tricky. I am really bad at knowing when to plug a number.

Stay_PositiveParticipantWell it wasn't as bad as I thought. I think if I would have done more MCQs I would have passed no problem. Topics were a good mix of everything. I was surprised it wasn't that hard…maybe that's not a good sign. My advice to everyone is study everything. There was no topic that I thought was tested more or less than any other. Now I have to wait until the end of the month, continue doing MCQs just in case and start REG next.
