Just want to thank and show my appreciation to everyone that posts in this forum. Even though I am only in the background reading, it is definitely very motivating. I love reading how hard everyone is working towards the same goal as mine! I am not in this alone, and a lot of people are going through what I am.

Especially @Nam and @CPA4birthdaypresent, when I am tired, lazy and not want to study; I read your posts and I find the energy to get back to my books even after a long day of work!

Thank you guys sooo much, you guys are definitely my fuel towards studying during those nights that I am down from studying for Fare.

    Best of Luck to everyone!

Anyone have their test on Monday? What's your weekend study plan? I'm re-writing all my notes now, and my hand already feels like its going to fall off. Tomorrow is SIM day and maybe some MCQs. Sunday will be more MCQs. I don't feel prepared at all, but I'm not going to reschedule again. If I don't pass, I can always take it again in April 🙂

@ Stay Positive: I have the exam on Monday as well. My study plan is to rewrite all the J/E from the beginning, take the Becker Final Exam #2 and review it. I plan to take another progress test (90 MC) and also go over the major lectures like F2 as someone mentioned on this thread.

    Good luck!

Okay everyone, been a pretty unsuccessful rest of the workweek. Been getting in about two or three hours daily the last couple days. Plan for tomorrow is to finish what is left of F1 and finish F2 MCQ. I'm sure F2 may be very involved and take a while. Getting up early to hit the office for no distraction, then at 5:00 my time it's all about the red and gold!

Then all day Sunday F3 and F4, hopefully more!

Is anyone using 2011 materials? I am but get a little shaky about whether I should use my Wiley Test Bank as the main source of questions just so I don't get outdated information.

    B 71 - 79 EXPIRED
    A 69 - 75 EXPIRED
    R 65 - 48 - 45
    F 56 - 61 - 65 - 64

Just to report back on my progress: I finished Becker Final Exam #2 and I'm a little shaken. My Exam #1 scores were 80, 60, 70 and Exam 2 was even worse and I'm way too embarrassed to post my scores. With my test on Monday, I'm not really sure if I'm even ready anymore. I really can't stand the idea of failing this time and having to drag this thing out until April to retake it.

Ugh. Sorry guys. I'm done ranting, now back to studying.

Hi everyone! I started studying for FAR on Monday and I'm already bogged down by the amount of material in this part. I'm schedule for February 28th to take the exam. Can this be accomplished in this amount of time? Or am I freaking out prematurely?

What is the best way to go about this with this amount of material? I really want to be able to past this on the first try…

I hate FAR. I've studied a lot for this section, but I'm not sure if my “studying” will result in a passing grade.

I finished all of the chapters about two weeks ago. I was originally supposed to take the exam on Jan. 3, but I felt like I wasn't prepared enough. I'm sorry, but not only do I not want to retake this section again, I also don't want to have to pay almost $300 again! UGH.

I struggled with Intermediate Accounting in college… but who didn't? (If you didn't, please don't respond to my post… I'm still bitter.)

Once I finished all the chapters in my Becker book I took a progress test and scored a 53%. 53%,Really? Really?! I immediately started panicking and I rescheduled my exam for Jan. 18th. I already have one passed exam under my belt, REG. I spent like three and a half weeks studying for that and I felt way more prepared for that exam then I do about this exam! I've been studying for this exam for almost two months. The holidays messed me up, but I refuse to reschedule again. I just made an 80% on a 100 progress test, but I'm still freaking out! Am I just memorizing the answers or do I actually know how to do this stuff? eeeegggghhhh

I'm a tax accountant at a large firm in my state. Our “busy season” has already cranked up. If you pray, please say a prayer for me. I need it! My birthday is on Jan 16th… passing this section would be the best gift ever! 🙂

Sorry for the long post, but I figured if anyone could relate to the stress of this exam… it would be yall! Any tips? Any areas I should focus in on?

REG(10/23/12)- Passed. Life happended and lost credit - 18 month expiration)(Retake soon)
    FAR - Passed. Used Becker.
AUD - Passed. Used CPAExcel (now Wiley)
    BEC- Plan to take October-ish.

    Just give me a 75!

Okay, I just did a couple of my first SIMS…not so bad. How much are you supposed to study for SIMS? The Wiley test bank only has 10 you can do. I have some in my textbook too, but I prefer doing them on the computer. Now back to re-writing notes, then a couple more SIMS.

    BEC - 69, 66, 78 (exp), 82
    FAR - 69, 72, 66, 76
    REG - 64, 66, 72, 80
    AUD - 77
    Ethics - 95

    @Stay_Positive

So Wiley only has 10 total for FAR? or 10 for each chapter of FAR?

I would definitely do more than 10…not to freak you out or anyting, but Becker has at least 6 per chapter and with 10 chapters that totals to at least 60 SIMS for all of FAR.

I also would try to do more than 10 because I've found that practicing SIMS could potentially help me clear up any misunderstanding I have about a concept. I'm not sure how to go about accessing more SIMS though : /

Hopefully someone else can chime in and help you out…Good luck!

Oh yea, I checked it again, and there are 66 total practice SIMS…I guess I better get moving 😉

    BEC - 69, 66, 78 (exp), 82
    FAR - 69, 72, 66, 76
    REG - 64, 66, 72, 80

Yes, Wiley test bank has 66 sims. You can only have a max of 10 sims per practice session you work. What you need to do when working them is when you select the sections and number of questions, under selection criteria choose questions not seen yet.
