    @Stay_positive: I'm not the guy you know 😉 Never been in England.

    Just finished another progress test with a 91% (FAR tomorrow). I think I will reread the lectures in the Becker textbook and than get some rest and sleep to successfully pass the first section

    So yesterday was decent day. I studied 3 hours and finished 23 pgs with mcqs. Today i am gonna finish acquisition method ,

    i hope i'll finish chapter 2 by sunday with MCQS and SIMS..

    Sooo I pushed my exam back from January 11th to February 4th. Very busy at work in the middle of 3 audits leading up to tax season and I decided I would rather push this back and take REG after tax season then try to cram both in with how busy work is. I slacked off a little too much around the holidays as well which is my fault. I'll be done with the material with 3 1/2 weeks for review now which makes me feel better than before. Goodluck to all taking FAR in early January!

    A - 10/28/12 - Passed!!!
    B - 11/20/12 - Passed!!!
    F - 11/12/13 - Passed!!!
    R - 02/01/13 - Passed!!!

    Work Experience - Done!
    Ethics Exam - Boom! Done!

    RI Licensed CPA.

    Ok I got my NTS , and scheduled it for February 14,2013 i.e between 21- 45 days

    HI cpaforbirthdaypresent 🙂 ( interesting id ) kind of liked it

    Congratulations on your wedding

    So sit back and see the bigger picture. Are you comfortable with your preparation ? How much are you scoring in MCQs in your review course?

    If you spend 2 days revising each chapter you will be done with your revision by Jan 24th . Review you weak area and see if you need more time. I would say you are the best judge. Just make sure don’t leave any topic.

    I was rushing in my first attempt and was not fully prepared ( I left so many topics and chapters) .

    Hey Nam,

    Thanks for the help. I think you're right.

    Before my first attempt at FAR I was planning on taking BEC at the end of Feb. but since I didn't pass FAR and I want to take it in Jan. I'm thinking I'm going to have to take BEC late Feb. or early April even though I will be in the thick of busy season at work…

    But if i'm going to pass all 4 parts by my Bday (May 9th) then it MUST be done. I guess I just gotta do what I gotta do.

    @CPA4birthday – to be honest, I think mid-January is really pushing it. BUT that does depend on your schedule. If you are studying full-time and can completely commit yourself to it, it is possible.

    @Tobias – sounds like you are in great shape! Good luck!

    @Nam – maybe I will schedule for the same day! I was able to finish up Chapter 4 yesterday (easy peasy) and go into battle with Chapter 5 today. Wasn't able to wake up this morning, so if I want to get all lectures covered by Sunday night, I have a lot of work. Good thing my bf/roommate is taking off for the weekend so I will have all the time in the world without distraction!

    Bring it on, chapter 5. I remember how much I loathed it before…

    Hustin: get it done before Sunday ! you can do it , get high on caffeine.. 😀

    I feel so positive when I read your post. It’s kind of a self-check on my goal. SO what’s your weekly plan after Sunday ??

    Here is my plan

    W/E 01.06.13 – finish 2 chapters with mcqs and SIMs

    W/E 01.13.13 – finish 3 chapters with mcqs and SIMs

    W/E 01.20.13 – finish 3 chapters with mcqs and SIMs

    Till 01.25.13 – finish 2 chapters with mcqs and SIMs

    AND goanna start my revision on 01.26.13 , spending at least 1.5 to 2 days on each chapter.

    LETS SEE! How it goes!!

    Btw- sillipanda goes missin every now and then lol ….. I hope she is ok .. 🙂

    @Nam -WARNING this is sentimental! It means so much to me that you say that because you were really the one who helped me get the boost to pass. I remember when we were both in the BEC forum, with nothing but a couple fails behind us and I remember seeing how determined you were and covered so much ground – it really made me reevaluate if I was really putting all my work into this. You have really been an inspiration, going from nothing to (soon to be) all so quickly! Keep up the good work and I will meet you in the alumni lounge!

    I haven't really thought about how the rest of my schedule will pan out. I suppose I will alternate MCQs topic to topic between Becker and Wiley and plan two weeks of review. I also am not sure when I should rewrite my notes, before each section's MCQs or during review time. Hm..

    I do go missing. And it isn't really missing 😉 It is more like .. get wrapped up with work and find myself doing stuff until 10 at night! In it to push through this weekend.

    Damn it. One of my best friends is moving across the country and just invited us to his last hurrah tonight. Looks like I might not meet my goal for today and its going to be an extreeemely long weekend of 5 lectures.

    I hate how this exam makes me selfish. I have never wanted to be lonely more in my life.
