Is it ok to start a FAR Study Group? I retook Audit yesterday and although I don’t have a gut feeling either way if I passed or not, I am going to start on FAR. I am using Becker self-study and purchased the Ninja Notes for FAR.

I am looking forward to reading a/b everyone’s progression. Good Luck!

Hello, Every one, I am planning to take my third time try on AUD on April 6th (first two times all 70ish) and maybe FAR in May.

Currently I am using CPA excel whole set and Becker flash card (old version)…Also practicing CPA review for free MCQ and SIms..

I waned to buy some more studying materials so I can finish the tests by end of this year.

Could you please some one help suggest if Wiley test bank is helpful or some other material is better?

    I really appreciate it!

    AUD-73, 73, 73, 79!!
    BEC-77!
    FAR-60, 83!
    REG-66, 72, 75!

I personally thought taking notes and rewritting everything was a waste of time. It just takes so long. I stopped doing it after about 3 chapters

I think time is better served to doing as many questions as possible. Just my opinion and worked for me

jrc1988… interesting thought on note taking. I've never been a big note taker, but I can see where it would be beneficial for larger sections like FAR or REG. So many others seem to take notes and rewrite. It's never been a big part of my learning process. I guess I'll find out eventually if my lack of note taking comes back to bite me.

Sorry if this ends up being a double post… I've had some issues with the forums here not posting my messages or double posting them.

    Hi Q2 FARE fam,

Count me in. I started studying from Jan '13, now doing MCQs like a monster.

    Today my plan:

Have to finish Derivatives, Misc, Accounting changes & error correction.

Once I finished chapter and its MCQs then I write down some NINJA notes for my mistakes and it really helps me.

Is there an assignment sheet somewhere? I printed out the handout and I see the recommended mc questions in the wiley book, but I don't see an assignment sheet.

    It begins with a 75

Hi! So I have taken FAR before and scored a 74 (worst score ever!) Anyways, when I received my score report I scored weaker in Specific Transactions and Sims. Of course I plan on studying everything again, but is there any advice on what to do to help with studying for Sims? I currently use Becker and I don't know if it really helped me in that area. Thanks!

And good luck to everyone studying!!

    AUD - Nov13 - 76
    BEC - Aug13 - 77
    FAR - Jan13 - 74, Apr13 - 74 bummer, Aug13 - 76 Finally!!
    REG - Nov12 - 82

    Whoooo hooo!!
