Is it ok to start a FAR Study Group? I retook Audit yesterday and although I don’t have a gut feeling either way if I passed or not, I am going to start on FAR. I am using Becker self-study and purchased the Ninja Notes for FAR.

I am looking forward to reading a/b everyone’s progression. Good Luck!

    Aud- 11/28/12 (72), 02/27/13 (72), 04/06/2013 77!!

Ok, I just took FAR today, and much like the first time, I thought it seemed easy. The only difference this time was that I was WAY more prepared. I think the Wiley questions were much more difficult than what I saw on the actual exam. I finished with about 10 minutes left. There were a few MCQs in each testlet I wasn't sure about and some aspects of the SIMS, but overall, I didn't think it was really tricky. You really do need to know all those little details. Jeff's NINJA notes and audio really helped me remembering all those things. I didn't think the testlets got progressively harder, and if they did, I didn't notice.

Good luck everyone…now…I wait and go back to studying for REG next month.

    BEC - 69, 66, 78 (exp), 82
    FAR - 69, 72, 66, 76
    REG - 64, 66, 72, 80
    AUD - 77

Pension question- can someone explain to me how you calculate the pension asset/liability? I was under the impression that if FV>PBO then the difference was a liability and if FV<PBO, then the difference was an asset. I just came across an MCQ that says that pension asset/liability is the cumulative excess of the amount funded over the amount recorded as pension expense. Just need an explanation.

AUD: PASSED [81]; Expired, retaking August 23rd
BEC: PASSED [83]; Expired, retaking July 11th
    REG: PASSED [83]
FAR: FAILED [64]; Retaking May 23rd
