tmturner74MemberIs it ok to start a FAR Study Group? I retook Audit yesterday and although I don’t have a gut feeling either way if I passed or not, I am going to start on FAR. I am using Becker self-study and purchased the Ninja Notes for FAR.
I am looking forward to reading a/b everyone’s progression. Good Luck!

10keyLeahMemberHappy first day of spring!
Your scores on your practice exam look good lbi18. I haven't done a final yet, but I'm getting between 50% and 80% with a typical 70% as I'm doing MCQ for study.
I keep getting confused with statement of cash flows. I looked around on the internet for additional explanation and actually found a pretty helpful article. I just wasn't getting the way my study material presents it.

AnonymousInactivemy plan is re-study all the material again (first time i watch lectures and done all MCQs)
Now taking notes from book and MCQs and trying not to skip any thing that i have a problem with
now I'am on F2 doing timing issues MCQs (99 multiple choice)
my plan is 3 or 4 days for every chapter and the 5th day review all previous chapters by reading my hand written notes
or may do a progress test (i have a problem with remembering all that detailed stuff)
taking the exam late May,that keeps for me 2 weeks for final review
i may purchase Wiley test bank and ninja notes if i have time
is it a good plan ?
any advice is appreciated

nashville79MemberShort recap: 74 on 2/28. Retaking 4/2 – less than two weeks. I feel like my last prep consisted of too much working strings of questions from individual sections/chapters. So, currently I'm going through the Becker Final Review and then taking Progress Tests from the regular software in blocks. Example: Doing 60 questions from 1-5 today and 90 from 6-10 tomorrow. It's definitely tough, but I feel it's more realistic to the way it's seen exam day.
Any one else tried this? Also, for those Becker folks – does anyone know how to mix the questions up? The Progress Tests will give you 10 from F1, 10 then 10 from F2, etc. Better than nothing I guess. Becker questions definitely get in the weeds a bit though, they throw in that one extra piece of info. that is not extremely realistic. Good practice, but not when trying to hit everything at a high level and see as much as possible. Hell, some Becker MC resemble SIMS which is fine but not for anyone with a life. Not realistic.
I found SIMS to be good practice, but they are so all over the board on exam day. While it would be great to work as many SIMS as possible, I'm not sure the time spent is the best bang for my buck given the amount of time it takes. So, I'm focusing on working through JEs and hitting the more likely SIM areas in further detail: consolidation, tax, acctg. changes, etc.
Any other thoughts for better prep are encouraged.

MrsBingMemberFinishing up the NFP portion of F-9. Goal is to finish reading the chapter during lunch and do the 90 MCQ's which will probably take 3-5 hours…ugghhh. I wanted to get all of this done tonight, but I am so tired and can barely keep my eyes open at my desk. I may go home after work and go right to sleep and finish tomorrow.
Next week F10. Then I will have 6-8 weeks of review, didn't plan on my review being that long, but I won't get my NTS when I originally wanted.
