tmturner74MemberIs it ok to start a FAR Study Group? I retook Audit yesterday and although I don’t have a gut feeling either way if I passed or not, I am going to start on FAR. I am using Becker self-study and purchased the Ninja Notes for FAR.
I am looking forward to reading a/b everyone’s progression. Good Luck!
Aud- 11/28/12 (72), 02/27/13 (72), 04/06/2013 77!!

Okay thank you. For some reason Becker's text says 10% of governmental funds or 10% of enterprise funds and even told me to write next to the text “OR.” Not sure why they did that. They didn't really say that it must be 10% of it's related fund type.
Thanks for responding both of you.

@HustlinHustlin – you and I are on the same page. I'm thinking of getting the FAR NINJA audio…….although, my exam is in less than 5 weeks so I'm not sure if it's going to be much help at this point? I have a Q1 close coming up, so I was thinking that atleast during those long days and late nights, I can listen and get some “studying” in while pulling my hair out. Did you end up getting the audio?

TheoMemberFor those who have done the F4 SIMS, in Sim 1 Task no. 4, the first requirement is to calculate the “weighted average accumulated expenditures. Can someone please tell me where in the becker text it explains how to calculate this? Please? I have looked at the explanation and it makes no sense to me. I went back to the text and could only find a description under the term which really doesn't say what it is at all, but rather talks about the interest cost capitalized being based on that average. The only example in the text simply tells you what the figure is.
FAR + Becker is beginning to frustrate me. I don't see why I have to do research and look for videos on youtube to explain this stuff when I have paid all this money for a review course.

FAR 04/26/2013 (85)

HustlinHustlinMemberYes, I did.
I think it will help because I can listen to it while working, walking, driving or doing anything where I can't be in front of a computer. Also, my patience with staring at a computer screen or writing notes is dwindling horribly as I have been studying for about a year and a half now.
I'm currently waiting for my NTS to be approved and in kind of a pickle. I want to take the exam beginning of April but before I have to leave the state for a family funeral the 2nd weekend in April.
However, I feel like I have so much to do and busy weeekends until then. I also know I don't want to take this beast when I'm not ready.

lbi18MemberJust took my first Becker Final Exam – I was expecting much worse! Here are my results:
Testlet #1 – 80%
Testlet #2 – 63%
Testlet #3 – 90%
1 – 87%
2 – 83%
3 – 25% (ouch)
4 to 7 – 100%
I averaged out the scores and I would have gotten an 82. I feel pretty good about this now. Of course, there were a few repeat questions in there that probably boosted my score, but I can learn from my missed questions now!
FAR - 85
AUD - 99
REG - 85
BEC - 10/4/13 (Waiting)Using Becker Self-Study

10keyLeahMemberHappy first day of spring!
Your scores on your practice exam look good lbi18. I haven't done a final yet, but I'm getting between 50% and 80% with a typical 70% as I'm doing MCQ for study.
I keep getting confused with statement of cash flows. I looked around on the internet for additional explanation and actually found a pretty helpful article. I just wasn't getting the way my study material presents it.
