@mtaylo I think I'd fall asleep during the test!!! Lol. It is an additional 8 or so hours of studying though and all the info is fresh on your mind, so probably beneficial. I pulled a few all nighters in college but never for a 4 hour test.

Haha I used to do that for every exam in college. College is a joke compared to this exam imo though

mtaylor – I hope your exam goes well. Get 6 hours of sleep – too much riding on this exam.

@Mtaylo, listen to the CPA Godfather. Go to bed now:)

I wish they “SUSPEND” the suspended 10-day extension this testing window and open the test dates back up from June 1st to June 9th. Wouldn't it be nice?

Am I the only one with this wishful thinking?

would be awesome to have 10 more days to study for this, but wishful thinking does nothing for me with 2 days left to prepare lol.

@Beantown The center is about 25 mins from my house, but I like to stop for a 5 hour energy and an egg mcmuffin since I have to sit on the hot seat for 4 hours.

@cpain2k17 Having sat 15 times already, the duration is the least of my worries. I've actually grown quite fond of my local prometric and their wonderful staff. Except for that one time…

@Jeff – Even if I wanted to, I know for sure I wouldn't be able to get 6 hours. I'm aiming for at least 4, just not sure when lol. Either way I will be up at least 4-5 hours before my exam. I'm off tomorrow so I will figure something out.

@Amor D Would be nice, but still wouldn't apply for me or I would lose Auditing!

    AUD - 1st - 60 (12/12), 61 (2/13), 61 (8/13), 78! (11/15)
    REG - 55 (2/16) 69 (5/16) Retake(8/16)
    BEC - 71(5/16) Retake (9/16)
    FAR - (8/16)

Due to the delayed scoring and changing CPA exam formats, I heard that exams expiring in Q2 and Q3 will be extended until Q3, fingers crossed.

DarkLord , thanks a lot as you have brought this tips again. In old format ,many people have used AL to solve some SIM but no one has mentioned taking help from AL .I have taken AL help in Tax in old format .Any other tips?

@darklordjonny great advice on using the AL to help with sims. Did you have enough time to go through AL for the sims you were having trouble with? thanks

Someone is getting 2 someone 5 and someone in between DRS so it's clear SIMs are game of dice.Again Scholars ,people are tired and get lost in SIM Maze ,I am wondering why I am speculating about potential SIM and asking folks here to share their SIM experiences ?
Just got enlightenment.I knew by the time I pass all sections I would be enlightened.

I'm ganna be the outlier here and say that the AL function is terrible even in the new exam. I thought that I would be able to use it but it proved to be more of a hastle than anything. I think it can help but it takes up too much time and it could ruin your timing for other sims. Besides you don't even know if what you're looking for is even in the Al.

If you have a lot of time I'm sure it can be helpful, but if you're running short on time then it probably wouldn't be a good idea to go fumbling through the AL, unless you're looking for specific accounting treatment and you know where to find it. I know it was super helpful for me on audit, found a couple of answers on the SIMS verbatim.
