@aatoural Seems like we share the same worries. I honestly am terrified about getting a derivative or revenue recognition question. The worst part is that I am so burned out that its so hard to even concentrate with a week left until my test.
@Aatoural, when you’re on Becker ‘Home’ page, click section, then click the box for ‘Continue Course’, and scroll down far below the page and you’ll be able to see the Mock Exam.
OMG Yes. I spent more than 10 minutes this morning looking for that. I decided to go back to do more review questions and SIMS see you I could not find it. THANKS!!
For anyone taking the test in the next week, what are you doing as far as studying? I've been working on memorizing some notecards and journal entries, but I'm in freak out mode now. My NINJA stats are 70 average and 87 trending, and yet I feel less prepared for this than I did the last time I took it (and failed with a 73).
@Soon2BeCPA you will pass. Those stats are pretty solid. Just comes down to what SIMS you get. There are people out there that mentioned they got a SIM on a casino and a city. Probably a pretest but you never know what they could throw at you.
For anyone taking FAR in PA or DE. I just moved my exam from the 31st to the 26th. If you are looking for a spot in the Wilmington center it should be open now on the 31st!
@Soon2beCPA I take the test the same day as you and am also freaking out. I am trending an 83% on NINJA and feel so much more burned out than I did for any of the other tests…how many hours are you putting in daily and how are you reviewing?
@SallyCPA Unfortunately, we're in the middle of quarter at work so I had to work late all last week and basically only had the time/energy to review notecards. Today was the first day that I've had a chance to actually review, and I'm basically reading the NINJA notes for my weak ares, memorizing some journal entries, and working MCQs here and there when I'm tired of memorizing. I also did a couple of SIMs, but I plan on hitting SIMs hard tomorrow. What is your review plan for the week?
@soon2be. At this point its physically hard to concentrate so I'm just going back through the beckerbook and looking at examples in there. I just finished up going through becker twice so I'm not sure what to do the rest of the week..any advice?
Below is page 36 of Becker’s FAR Annotated Book – Chapter 1 under Revenue Recognition. Tim Gearty skipped this page and went on to the next page without explaining or even providing the answer for question numbers 1 and 2. I answered B ($300,000) and D (Decrease/Decrease) for those questions. Can someone please take a look and see what should be the correct answers. I appreciate your help!
If you go into the lecture you can see the Answer and Explanation buttons at the bottom right of each example problem.
Question #1 is D $150,000
Question #2 is D Decrease Decrease
That being said, Tim Gearty's explanations are usually the worst anyway. He typically just reads the question and reads out the correct answer without going into detail.
