@Turbo okay cool thank you for letting me know. The only DRS I have done so far was on the AICPA practice but I'll try and find some other ones. I'm sure you passed though, good luck with BEC!

@cpain2k17 I ending up copying all of the flash cards from my CPA Excel trial to my flash card app. 2 1/2 day project, that was painful man! I couldn't do the whole CPA Excel course, that bite size crap would drive me crazy!

How's everyone getting through the chapters? For each module- Lecture, skills practice, MCQ? Just started and realized that the lectures are basically twice as long now because of the skills practice, but seems like they're useful? What are everyone's thoughts on them?

@mtaylo haha nice, that does sound extremely painful though. And yeah… I kind of like it because I feel like I'm making progress more often with the quizzes after every lesson, but FAR has been brutal with 250+ lessons

There multiple DRS on the far sims now? AHHHHHH

I dont know if I am allowed to ask this, but are the MC more difficult on the newer exams or the same, just less questions.

@NY. Let's just say that I drew the unlucky straw when it comes to DRSs. The unluckiest of straws. You may not get any, but I would prepare myself in case you do.

The MCQs were very reasonable. Nothing I didn't cover in my studies and there were a couple sections in my weak areas that weren't tested (Thank Goodness!).

EDIT: If you're feeling an it unsure, at most, I would skim through those areas. I did some NINJA MCQs early on in my review process, but after finding out they were on the do not study list. I didn't bother to re-visit them again.

@turbo thanks for the update! Would you say that NINJA MCQ did a good job of preparing you for the exam?

@AnotherSeventyFour: I think NINJA MCQ helped because it went more in depth in some areas than my review course did. However, I would supplement NINJA MCQs with some DRS since the NINJA software does not feature DRS.

@mtaylo: I would've taken a partnership sim over those sims I had in my last testlet. I thought that partnerships were being removed entirely from the exam though? I saw on the do not study list that “Joint Ventures” was listed on there. I've seen a few partnership questions in that section of NINJA MCQ.

I thought all the content stayed the same, just the setup of the exam changed.

Also, thanks for the headsup on the sims/mc. Sims really is the luck of the draw. Sometimes, i get easy ones and others I get govt/nfp stuff

I didn't bother to review any of those items and they didn't show up at all on the exam.

Its probably more work to ignore those topics than to actually do them.
