I believe the days of passing by guessing on some questions are probably gone – really gotta know the material….but whats funny is that – this is not even close to the real life situation because in real life – it's more detailed and room for QnA.

@banana I could smell that in March exam ,my 80% questions were calculations and it took time.Hardly I had time for SIM.I am guessing it was trailers.

Another Tip – Regardless of what material you use (i used the becker 2017) I believe it does a good job in making you understand the material at a good level but to get comfortable it will be helpful to know why you got the questions right and wrong…whether you do all questions and tbs or few – this material or that – as long as you afe comfortable with any topic being asked in whatever manner…

Sims were tough for me…due to the way being asked and not because of the material itself or the topic…

One major change I guess is IFRS,as per cso just the differences (scaled back in new format ),did you notice? I mean no calculations as per IFRS.

I am not trying to scare anyone – this time I wanted to cry because each question and tbs reqired focus and dedication – I would say that FAR is definitely do-able – don't loose hope or anything – any review course should get us there but we need to spend quality time on review – honestly speaking – if you have becker 2017 far book and you read it n understand it and do questions in the book to understand ur level- u would good but good is no longer enough at new exam – so to do better than good – after u look at the book n understand it with questions – open all questions from all chapters with answers to get comfortable and understand variations

So basically we need to do all the MCQs from Ninja AND Roger, while understanding what went wrong, in order to have a fighting chance? :/

No thats not what i am saying – what i am saying is that – its possible to knock this beast out in multiple ways – the best way is a way in which YOU as an individual understand the topic at a level where YOU are comfortable – in my opinion – since i had becker 2017 – and after taking the exam – I personally felt that watching lecture more than once is not beneficial…going through the book by itself by reading and understanding each topic (miss topics if you like) but try to cover every topic if you can just in the books with questions in the book after each chapter…then pull all ur mcqs and tbs dra WITH answers so that you can look at each question with answers to understand the variations in the questions….pulling all questions with answers – I believe yhere are 2000 for becker 2017 – is easier to go through and understand and skip those whixh u know then doing all questions again – memorization is the key also – i can't memorize in advance so key rules in my notes i review a day before

I understand. I was just being a bit overdramatic.

I'm five days out and feel maybe 65% ready for this exam at best. That and I don't want to say how many legit hours, MCQs, and note-taking I've put into this exam alone. I'm feeling a bit stressed out because there's SO much material on this exam and I've got a feeling that they're way more difficult than what we have available as resources (no knock on any review course out there). I expect to pass, but I would just be floored if I end up bombing this thing.

Not so good. Testing center changed locations and I didn't know. Had to find a FedEx bc I forgot to print my NTS. Showed up 30 min late I guess barely in time for the grace period.

Was anxious before the test and ended up carrying that into the exam.

The revise the words to the sentence SIM was easy. You could do it fresh out of a bookkeeping class. Other SIMS were not complicated just incredibly time consuming. Time is what got me on the SIMs. Had I gone into one of the sims with the thought of time management, i could have put the data in excel. By the time I thought of it I had already spent 10 minutes.

MCQs were either complicated calculations or quick one answer questions. Lots of R&D stuff.

    Now the wait begins.

@krstnam, seems like you may have avoided the DRS curse. Do you feel as if you were able to maintain a steady pace through the MCQs?

It also seems like you may be a happy camper come August!
