Haha (not laughing at you, laughing with you) I'm glad im not alone. I literally lol'd more than once and said “you can't be serious” at least twice. If anybody was in my testing center, i was that guy. Someone else was in there taking FAR also huffing and puffing like the big bad wolf smh.

@mtaylo24 I know this is superstitious but it seems like great test-takers in here have gotten a lot of the DRS's. You got 3 which is still pretty high and if you did good on those and maybe another sim I would say you passed.

I'm on the way to the testing center right now after driving three hours yesterday to get to this city.

If I get a hard second testlit I don't know how I'm going to finish in time but I'll give it my best shot.

@bobby that's definitely speculation because I passed 2 exams, had my second testlet way harder than the first, and got 1 drs

@cpain2k17 the drs was in memo format, exactly like the practice test or anything you would see in Gleim. One sim, not sure if it was considered DRS or Enhanced, had plenty of docs to review, but wasnt a memo, had to input figures and balance.

@mtaylo I'm so pissed right now that new format makes the old exam look like a joke. If I had like a day to do the test then ya it's doable but there's no way 4 hours was enough time to get through my sims… all my sims had multiple docs

@mtaylo24 How bad were the non DRS sims?

Loaded! Every sim had no less than 5 bullet points. JEs, workbooks, and recons…know them! Not disclosing the topics, probably already said too much.

Wow sounds like my exact experience @mtaylo and @bean!!!!

Normally I just get really pissed at these tests but the new FAR, I literally just started laughing halfway through the sims. To be completely honest, the test is not even fair. Even if you understand the material, you still need a shitload of time to get through everything and to be thorough. Besides half the time, I didn't even know what they were asking and if I tried to look it up the shitty AL wouldn't work..

@Mtaylo , saddened to hear your experience as I was thinking you would pass for sure.300 MCQ in a day ,I just dream that.
I was thinking you will be done with cpa this window . Keep hope as many said here when they thought terrible they passed.

So basically I need to speed through MCQ to have a fighting chance on the sims?

Yes! I spent like 1 hr on mcq. After the exam, I personally felt the sweetspot for MCQ was 1hr and 10 minutes. You pretty much need to turbo through the mcq.

@cpain2k17 the thing is the review programs don't prepare you for the new format WHATSOEVER

For people who just took the exam, what topics were your simulations on? It seems as if everyone is struggling with the sims so hopefully the graders take that into consideration and curve the hell out of it.

I am just doing some google for Hail Mary Pass.
A Hail Mary pass is a very long forward pass in American football, made in desperation with only a small chance of success.
Now instead of practicing SIMs, I am watching American football on utube.
Learning how to throw SIMs so hopefully it crosses some last yards.

Someone posted this about the curve, not sure if it's legit
