Hi everyone, this is my first post on the forum. I’m looking for advice on FAR. I’ve been using Beckers, and started studying in late August. Work got very busy in the fall, and I ended up failing in November with a 65. I did cover each section in Beckers and spent the majority of my time on the MCQ.

I recovered from that failure and started studying after Christmas. I covered the mcqs in each chapter again twice, and used the NINJA audio whenever I was driving or had time to listen. I was averaging between 80-90% on the MCQ. I retook the exam a few weeks ago and ended up with a 71. I have not been keeping track of study hours, I would guess at least 150 hours of studying at this point.

At this point I’m not sure of the approach to take. I’m wondering if I should sit down, go through the chapters again and take it again in a month or two or if I should reschedule the exam for a few weeks from now and pound the mcq until then.

I am definitely adding in the Wiley test bank to my studies. I purchased the NINJA package and liked how the Wiley tests presented the information slightly different than Beckers, I feel its a good addition. At this point I’m looking for any advice on how to approach studying, I seem to be stuck as the moment. Thanks for any advice!

You can not retake the exam until the next test window which begins April 1. that gives you at least 5 weeks before you can take it so I would start reviewing and working as many Mcq's as possible then if you feel ready for the first of April go ahead and schedule the test. If not then keep studying for a few more weeks until you feel you are ready.
