FAR spreadsheet question–enter formula or static number?

I’m just curious to know whether it matters on grading if you enter a formula into a FAR SIM spreadsheet cell, for instance ‘=(800*.10)’ verses simply putting ’80’.

    Anyone have any idea?

I would argue that it could give extra or some points because you are showing your work; however no one that will comment on this status will know the TRUE answer. I make such a conjecture having talked with people who passed the exam in the “paper-and-pencil” days–they said credit would be given–even if you were wrong–when you showed your work.

I guess another way to ask would be..if my cell showed 800*.10 would that be considered an incorrect answer if they were expecting 80. You never know with these crazy tests.

I showed my work because I am used to going back and reviewing the cell instead of trying to find the section I used on my scratch paper. I just hope it isn't wrong.

I don't think it'll be wrong. Your effort in trying to solve the problem is worth something on that darn exam.
