So I failed FAR for a 3rd time with a 64. I feel like SIMS are my weakest area because I get thrown off by how the questions are formatted, especially those statement of cash flows and consolidation questions. I have Becker and NINJA SIMS but I don’t know if I should re-do these or just get another test bank. Does anyone have any input on getting the Wiley testbank just for FAR? I feel like I know the material because I do so well on the multiple choice but then the SIMS I somehow just fail every time on those. Also, if anyone has any tips on how to conquer these that would be much appreciated.

There was a topic created yesterday with some discussion regarding SIMs – https://www.another71.com/cpa-exam-forum/topic/any-advice-for-sims/ – this might be able to help out a bit with the few posts there.

Please do not take this the wrong way, while I understand SIMs can be tricky, being weak in that area may be due to a lack of understanding of concepts as a whole. It seems many agree on here to continually do MCQs to help learn those concepts. I've been practicing SIMs to help reinforce the format and to get used to applying what I know as a whole, compare to MCQs which may only require 1 step. I use Wiley, and their SIMs are ok.
