    Hi !

I am studying for FAR using Becker and I have been working on some of the sims. I was wondering how accurate we need to be when working on these. For instance, one of the problem from F2 required me to enter zeros in all transactions that did not need to change. this is the only way, it would be correct. Do we actually have to do this on the actual exam? Will the actual exam calculate it wrong if I don’t put a zero? Also, what happens if I round up 🙁

can someone tell me how the sims work on the actual exam??

Also, additional advice on how to study for this beast would be great !!

    Thank you so much

The exam gives pretty good instructions, which you will want to follow carefully. To put zeros or not is always the question, but since you get points for right answers and they don't take off points for wrong ones, my practice was to put in zeros to be on the safe side and not leave possible easy points on the table.

    AUD 84 (1/9/14-Wiley books/TB + free materials)
FAR 83 (5/21/14-the above + NINJA 10 Pt Combo Lite)
    REG 84 (7/9/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC/Notes)
    BEC 76 (10/5/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC)

I am pressed for time. I am completing my second review of FAR. I want to skim the SIMS, complete all Practice Questions again and focus on Journal Entries, and create Excel Notes and Flashcards.

What are your thoughts of this strategy?

    REG - 77 (05/30/14); Failed (11/28/09)
    BEC - TBD; Failed (05/29/09)
    FAR - 74 (04/30/15);
    AUD - TBD

So I am wondering if there is a JE that we have to do for a sim do would be put a zero on the “not needed side” let me say this way… if we are debiting cash for $10,000 would be put a “0” on credit side? I know this sounds dumb, but I don't feel like losing points on this.

BEC: 5/21/14 82! PASSED HALF WAY THERE!
    FAR: 4/2/15 80! Almost there!
    AUD: 69, 74, 4/3/14 81! PASSED
    REG: TBD

🙁 this is so confusing. Though, I guess if you have an answer like 10k for instance, then you would not need to have zero on the credit side ? I would just put zeros on the JE that I think it would not need adjustments. this appears to be the case on one of the sims on becker F2……..
