    Hi everyone,

Im new to this forum…A little about myself: Just started my job as an auditor this past January, and I graduated this past December. I tried taking FAR once last August, while working and taking summer classes. I underestimated it and got a 61…now its time for a redo. I have completely finished studying all 9 chapter and I am doing the review process now. I have until April, 30 (test date) to review. Its hard working busy season hours and studying, but I’ve gotten this far so I have to keep it up in my review to insure passing.

My question: Im looking for advice on the best way to review. Concentrate on progress tests? Re-read every chapter? Right now my plan was to power skim a chapter, then do all of the homework quesitons and the simulation, then move onto the next chapter. I’m giving myself about 2 days per chapter, but there are so many homework questions it seems hard to pull off. Any advice on the final review process is much appreciated. Thanks everyone!

Good question on how to review – and as long as you can digest the material and retain it, whatever works for you is good. I am doing the Ninja notes style review of rewriting notes from previous study of material (videos and books) and then doing all the gleim and wiley test bank questions on that area until I get them all right. Then review Ninja notes which is sold here by Jeff the site owner until I can pretty much memorize his outline about each topic. After getting through the entire review I plan to do journal entries and a few sample exams of all the material. I hope that will do it.

ledgermaven…that sounds like a great method of studying as well. i figured as long as i can do the questions constantly and get the repitition in the material is bound to stick…how do you like the wiley and gleim test banks? im using becker right now and im pretty sure the software is expiring before I pass all four parts. The software expires in december. my firm covered it the first time but they wont the second time haha.

i like both test banks, there are many of the same questions in both, some different wordings. I also do the wiley book mcqs as those are less similar to test banks. You probably don't have the wiley book with becker I'm guessing, I think the sims will be the hardest part and I try to do part of the sims for each wiley chapter. I don't really know how to approach them…

In my experience a combination of reading and MCQ's is best for review. If you don't know how to work through the problems with 2 weeks left, then you are screwed anyway, so its all about cramming as many little details in. Quantity over quality. The last 2 weeks I use the Wiley online test bank to do MCQ's endlessly. They link the text to the question so if I don't know the topic I can read about it. MCQ's should always be the priority if you have to make a choice.

    Yeager + Wiley books:
    REG 88
    BEC 77
    FAR 64,74, 76
    AUD 72,74, Waiting

ledge…as far as approaching the sims i've been using Becker. They do a good job so i would deff recommend it. K98…i think im going to power skim the chapter (if time provides) and other than that im going to do MC's until im blue in the face haha. repetition repetition repetition is what im hearing is the key to passing this exam
