    I am coming up on my final review soon. My test is on the 23rd and I will have F8 finished this weekend and F9 and F10 done by next week. So I plan to do my final review from the 12th- 23rd (a few days shy of two full weeks). I’m trying to figure out a good method for the final review and I would love tricks/tips, especially from people who passed 🙂 I’ve been pretty diligent about reviewing prior material as I’ve gone through the material but I will need to spend a little extra time on certain section such as deferred taxes, cash flows, installment and percentage of completion method, and F2 in Becker (Goodwill impairment, intangibles, etc) just because of the amount of information in that topic. I also have only done 2-3 sims so I’ll need to do those as well.

    Any ideas? When I did Audit I spent like a full month going back through and relistening to all the lectures and retaking notes plus the MCQs which I obviously don’t have time for. I will also be working full time during this review period but I’m fortunate to have a job that lets me study for a few hours a day at work.

    AUD: PASSED [81]; Expired, retaking August 23rd
    BEC: PASSED [83]; Expired, retaking July 11th
    REG: PASSED [83]
    FAR: FAILED [64]; Retaking May 23rd

    1) Go over your notes, and depending on how much you've been keeping up with reviewing throughout, review them as much as you deem necessary. I wouldn't bother with videos again, just go over the notes that you thought were important enough to write down as you went through the material the first time.

    2) MCQ'S LIKE CRAZY. Get Jeff's Ninja MCQ if you don't already have Wiley Test Bank. These programs will give you an idea of topics you're not good with, and then you can supplement with going over those notes again.

    Just be as confident as you can going in. There is so much material, you just never know what will be on it.

    Oh and regarding SIMS, I wouldn't bother with them at this point. Just know the JE's for every topic. Knowing these will absolutely help you get through difficult simulations.

    I've been pretty good about trying to memorize JEs as I've been going through but I'll definitely need to brush up on my bond/lease entries. I do have access to the WTB…I wonder if I'll have time to do all the MCQs again from Becker and all the WTB questions.

    If you've already gone through the Becker MCQ's, I would suggest skipping them and going straight to WTB. Always good to see brand new questions.

    Make sure you review Government and Not-for-Profit as well 😉

    @Kenada, I feel you.

    When I started to re-review governmental & NFPO a week ago or so, I thought I was pretty much comfortable with my computational skills. But man, after finishing govt. & NFPO, I felt like I forgot how commercial accounting works.

    I wish I had the brain of Stephen Hawking who can layer up information and not easily forget what I already learned.
