So I just got my score back from my third FAR retake, so far I have received a 74, 74, and this time a 73. Talk about some bs I’m just sick of it. Obviously I need to change how I study, any recommendations? The last couple times I just did lots of mc and reread the book. Should I switch to a new bank of problems? So far I’m using Becker, should I switch to Ninja?

Did you take notes at all? I take notes on each MCQ, unless it overlaps a note i've already taken. I use Becker. I read the book, do MCQ's, take notes while doing MCQ's, then supplement my notes with Ninja notes. I've passed AUD, REG, and BEC with this method. I hope the trend continues with FAR, which I take on 8/28.

I am studying for FAR right now and would highly recommend the NINJA Notes and Audio. I supplemented Becker Self-Study with these.

I'm seriously there with you! I just got my 3rd failed FAR score!!!!! Talk about a let down. I got a 70, 73 and now 73. I just want to give up but it pisses me off more! This is my first exam since I heard it's the hardest.

I completely understand you. I took FAR SEVEN TIMES. I finally passed when i left becker and switched to wiley and ninja mcq and sims. I also bought ninja notes and read through those and made my own ntoes. I went from a 73 to a 83 today. I wish my signature was showing so you could see, i freaking hate FAR but it is manageable! you can do it!

sep7uakron, do you listen to becker's lectures? do you listen to ninja audio? and last question, do you do the mcq's at least twice for becker? taking FAR on 8/25, i've passed BEC and failed AUD with a 70 due to not knowing my JEs.

I definitely wish I was one of those people who got all 4 exams done in 4 months, but unfortunately LIFE (being a newlywed, stress, adjusting to newlywed life and cpa exam study life, as well as starting a job with a Big4 which I am very happy about) got in the way, just happy that I am passing period!!

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!

I didn't bother with the lectures. I did take my time to read the book. I don't have Ninja audio, only Ninja notes. I haven't done one practice SIM on my other exams. I believe if you know the material, you can do the SIMS…at least enough to pass. I go through the MCQ's and take detailed notes. Combine those notes with the Ninja notes and study the living daylights out of them. I then take 100 question progress test every other day for a week and half before the exam.
