Hi – Looking for the experience of those who have taken FAR.

I’ve been using Ninja MCQ and find the research Sims to be comically easy. You literally read the question, search for a key term, and boom the answer is right in front of you! It seems like only the paragraph relevant to you is shown.

I used CPAexcel and during the study program you’d have to read through multiple paragraphs to find the answer.

My question is this – what were your experiences with the FAR research sims? Were they as easy as the MCQ software makes them out to be?

It just depends. I couldn't find my FAR research question after searching for 20 minutes, but today I found my research question on REG on the first try. Practice the harder ones on CPAexcel because you may have one of similar difficulty on the exam. Best of luck!

I would guess they're a little harder on the actual test, but not by much.

Basically, if you're good at Googling, you probably have the knowledge necessary to narrow down what you're looking for. For a lot of the Becker research questions — and for my exam research question too, actually — I found the topic incredibly quickly, then I used the advanced search tools to look for specific words or phrases and went through the (very few) possible results to get the sub-topic and section.

AUD: May 29th, 2014 - 97!
BEC: July 16th, 2014 - 91
REG: August 29th, 2014 - 88
