    Hello All

So I have schedule to re take FAR on Aug 7. I have started the studying process this week.

I wanted to know if my study tactic will benefit me,

I am just going to focus on the Wiley Test bank until I get 80% on each section. Then I will focus on journal entries and complete sims. I will also re write the wiley focus notes that correspond to the wtb and the ninja notes to nail the concepts.

Is this plan doable to recieve a passing score in 29 days btw I am studying full time about 5 hours a day and it will increase to about 7 or 8. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

    FAR - May 2015 - 69
    BEC - TBD
    REG - TBD
    AUD - TBD

Wiley CPA Excel, Wiley Test Bank, & Ninja Audio Notes

Hi! I am currently studying for FAR too so I feel your pain. Usually one month is definitely not enough for FAR. Since you are studying full time, that would mean you need to get through like 3 chapters a week. Can you realistically do that? You need to leave at least a few days to review. I think the review phase is the most important part. Otherwise, i would suggest pushing it out…Do you need to take it on the 7th for any reason?

    BEC - 76 (1/24/15)
    REG - 82 (4/13/15)
    AUD - 89 (5/31/15)
    FAR - 78 (8/16/15)

Starting right now I'll be strong
    I'll play my fight song
And I don't really care if nobody else believes
'Cause I've still got a lot of fight left in me

If you're studying full time and it's for a re-take I think it's doable. I studied about 7 weeks for a re-take and put in about 100+ hours and passed on my second try so in your case you'll be doing the same thing just in a more condensed time. I know people say that you have to treat this like your first and you do but the advantage is that you're not learning concepts for the first time, you're basically doing a “review” for the 4 weeks by strengthening those weak areas and making sure your strong areas remain strong. I think it can be done and you have a good strategy. Just remember to keep reviewing your previous sections so you don't forget material as you go through everything and definitely do J/Es as you do the MCQs so you're not leaving that to the end (you'll notice that by doing the J/Es you can get answers right out of that process and you're practicing J/Es at the same time). I'd practice SIMS for sure (I didn't and regretted it) but use it more to reinforce concepts and to know how to fill out the tables. In some of my SIMS I didn't know how to do some of the problems with tables or journal entries because I hadn't really practiced how to complete them. I knew the concept but I didn't know if I was filling out the table correctly. I think if I had practiced some SIMS I would have felt more confident about where to put the numbers, etc. As you get closer to exam day and you don't feel ready then by all means reschedule, if you can. Good luck with everything!
