So i am beginning to feel really defeated. I have been studying for far for 2.5 months now and i sit on Friday and im freaking out of course. I feel like i know the material and do well on the sims averaging about 80% but on the progress tests in becker im still averaging in the 55-65% area and can not seem to score any higher. Any advice?

Similar thing happened to me at the end of FAR study. I had been doing decently well on practice tests but in the last few days of review my scores tanked down to the 50s. I found that slowing down on the MCQs and focusing on re-writing and reading my notes helped me nail little concepts that I'd been getting caught up on.
If it makes you feel better, I also found that the MCQs on the exam were for the most part easier/more straightforward than a lot of my practice questions (with Roger – can't speak to Becker though). I would suggest mixing up your review process a bit, going back and forth between questions, notes, flashcards, etc., whatever methods you have been using up till now. You're so close, keep it up! 🙂

    Hi,

I am in the same boat. Using Rogers CPA and am trending in the 60's. I have practiced for about a month and a half and my test is coming up as well. I am freaking out. I always trended higher before taking the other exams and am so worried that I am going to fail my last exam. My Audit is going to expire in September and I don't think I can do this all again if my tests start expiring.

use the progress tests as an opportunity to diagnose any weak areas in preparation for the test. Is it the same types of questions? Is it a certain topic? Button those up and you should be good. Don't get hung up on the score-use it as a study tool, which is what it's meant to be! Sometimes, just re-reading the book puts everything in its place.
