FAR Practice SIMS?

Do the Becker practice SIMS prepare you enough for the exam? I was really disappointed with the Becker practice SIMS for the REG exam I took in July (anxiously waiting on that score). I’m taking FAR in October and am contemplating getting practice questions from Wiley while Jeff is still offering 40% off, so that I will have additional practice SIMS. Just curious of what others have experienced.

Definitely get the extra practice sims. The different content and formats of the wiley sims require you to think outside the box more than the Becker ones.

I took classes for Becker and the instructor said straight out that all FAR sims are random now. He said that everything can be a simulation and looking back on my exam he was right. I would study all the journal entries in the books and be familiar with all the practice type examples they give you each section.

To sum it up the simulations are very random now

    BEC: 82
    FAR: 79
    AUD: 85
    REG: July 10th

I used becker for FAR and based on my experience I felt that I wasn't that prepared for the sims. I had one sim that was not even covered in becker and two others that I didn't feel confident becker had taught me enough to do them.

Thanks for your input. I'll plan to use Becker & Wiley for practice questions and thanks for the tip on the journal entries!
