FAR or REG next?

Taking audit tomorrow morning and if I pass, it’ll be done along with BEC. Next up is FAR or REG. Would like to knock either of them out by the end of Q2 window.

Not asking which one is harder, but asking which one is more doable between 4/7 and the end of May? I know both have a lot of information, so trying to make this determination.

Depending on how many hours of study you could get in between now and then, either one are doable. I would recommend FAR because there is some overlap between FAR and AUD. If you have any experience with tax though, then you might want to shoot for REG. Do you have any basis in either of the areas that you can build on or would you be starting from scratch for both?

CPA Exam - Finally DONE (November 2014)
    BEC (08/10/13) 80
    AUD (08/24/13) 65 (11/13/13) 85
    FAR (04/12/14) 81
    REG (07/19/14) 69 (11/29/14) 87!!

For myself, I would do Reg with less than 2 months remaining. (I needed at least 3 months for FAR). There's 8 chapters in Becker vs 10 for FAR and it's all testable and equally important. (well, maybe not F10.. but I would at least skim through it).

I think REG is more easily digestible, since it can be easily broken up into mid size chunks:

R1 and R2 has a lot of overlap.

R3 and R4 – C and S corp, partnerships, like kind exchanges, estates and trusts

R5 – Ethics (some overlap with AUD) + memorizing of SEC regulations.

R6-8 – Blaw and business structures (lots of overlap with R4)

For FAR, The sheer amount of material is just intimidating. Each chapter is its own beast and there's not a lot of overlap. Plus it's 72 vs 90 MC come exam day.

So yeah, my vote goes to REG, unless you're not working a 40 hour work week. Also for me personally, I didn't feel there was quite that much overlap between AUD and FAR. And that's for both studying and my experience on the exam.. YMMV.

Thanks for the answers so far

    Two more points:

I'm using Becker exclusively for now

I work in audit…will probably still be working 50+ hours per week through April and May
