Hope everyone is having a great weekend, and is being a bit more productive than I have been so far today (night is still young). So, I took FAR last window and got a 73. This section is by far the toughest for me to grasp, as in even if I put in the time, sometimes I just don’t fully understand the concepts. I guess I just need to put in more time, because impossible is nothing. I was stronger on MCQ and weaker in Sims.

So far, I definitely didn’t make the best use of my time during the holidays, and am currently on F6 (Becker) with 10 days to go till the rematch. BEC expires on Feb 19th, so this is pretty much my last shot. However, given my work schedule getting only more killer, I really don’t think/want to reschedule..would rather just cram and knock this thing out.

    Advice/Tips needed:

-What do you suggest is the best way to utilize my time going forward in the next 10 days? Prior experience from people in a similar situation, and how you went about it would be very much appreciated. Should I focus on MCQs, SIMS, read the book? I work pretty much 12-13 hour days, so have about 2 hours during weekdays, 12 hours/day next weekend, and then about 12-15 hours remaining this weekend to give me a total of about 45 hours before exam day give or take.

I have def struggled to figure out the best studying strategy for the 3 exams I have passed, but somehow come through. Been reading this board for a couple of months now, and its been a real inspiration to say the least. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    BEC 7/2010 - 77 (5 days of studying, thought CPA was a joke; expires 2/19/2012 :/)
AUD 8/2010, 11/2010 - 74,80 (2-3 weeks of studying, still thought CPA would happen)
REG 7/2011 - 59 (3 weeks of studying, started doubting myself), 11/29/2011 80 (rebuilding confidence, one more to go!)
FAR 8/2011, 10/2011 - 49(4 days of studying, just went and took it), 73 (one month of studying, will never underestimate this exam), 76!

    Donezo. Impossible is nothing.

What are you up to now?

I don't think you should spend time on sims, especially since you've already taken the exams and know what they are like. Depending on how far you are in the material and how comfortable you are with F8 and F9 (many people find they contain more difficult concepts), I think you should try to finish reading the book and get done as many mcqs as possible. Do you have flashcards? NINJA notes? If there are areas that you haven't reviewed yet but are pretty strong in, maybe review those areas with the flashcards or NINJA notes if you are really running out of time. Otherwise, reading the book is good and it is important to do mcqs mcqs and more mcqs. Going over the explanation to any answer you may get wrong (or right) will help re-inforce the material, as well.
