I’m having my first time FAR exam this coming Friday and I’m totally not ready for it! I’ve been studying for a month only and been getting around 40-50 in the wiley testbank. Should I skip the test?

Skip the test = money lost and no score

Take the test = have a chance at passing and the money is well spent, if you fail, then a performance report can show what areas you're strong at and what areas you can improve.

Basically what I'm saying is, DON'T skip the test 🙂

    AUD - 01/18/14 - 81
    BEC - 05/29/14 - 85
    FAR - 07/18/14 - 81
    REG - 11/18/14 - 80

@Lilyana,. Is your NTS expiring? If not, maybe you want to reschedule for the next testing window.

    my NTS is not expiring…

wondering anyone will still take the test just for practice even if you only have a low chance of passing?

Yes, I did! Last year my NTS was expiring so I took FAR ( WTB average was in 50%) anyway. I failed with 68 when I thought i was going to score in the 40s. So it actually gave me some confidence lol.

@OP I felt the same way and decided to do it because sooner or later I would try the exam. I went with my mind of doing it but feeling the waters.. Do it, feel the exam and know how it comes.. if you pass great, if not, then you know how it is and you will be better prepared… If you pospone probably you will never feel secure.

    I agree with Spartan.

If you can reschedule, by all means do so.

But it's too late to reschedule.

So my advise is “go there anyway”.

I didn't pass last time, but I am glad I did because I was so nervous not only about the test itself, but about other things too(can I bring my purse? how much can I bring? do they have earplugs or do I have to bring one? Are staff militant? some say yes and some say no…).

In the past I experienced that the ANY testing center was intimidating and looked colder than the detention center(not that I was admitted there). That's what I was imagining about Prometric. I was wrong. It was more inviting than I thought, people there were nice.

Now I know the way around and here's nothing to fear, I will be more confident and more comfortable taking the test.

    Good luck!
