Hi guys, I’m taking FAR in about a week or so and I just wanted to know from any of you vets out there what you were scoring on the MC during your ‘Final Review’ stage. I just finished my initial review (outlined notes from Becker and have gone through all the MC at least once) earlier this week and just started re-doing the MC.

I’m averaging somewhere between 85-90% on most sections (on the ‘harder’ ones its more like 75-85). Anyhow, for any of you who have passed FAR already, how were you scoring on MC before you sat for the exam?

EDIT: Sorry one more thing I wanted to ask, how quickly did you progress through your ‘Final Review’? I had scheduled to go over two chapters of MC a day (I study about 4-5 hours a day). This would have left me with about 3-4 days to go over any problem areas I had.

Since then, however, I’ve found that I really can only do around 1 chapter a day if I want try to re-do ALL the MC. This will leave me with, at a maximum, 1 day to address any problem areas I have.

This leads me to my question: Would it be better for me to cut down on the total number of MC questions I do in each chapter for my final review, or should I continue to go through ALL of the MC questions again?

I was scoring in the low 70s on average on the Gleim software. I took the Wiley practice test in the back of the book and got a 76. I rarely can get in the 80s on any practice set I was doing. I then take the actual exam and get an 89. The grading system for FAR is messed up, so just do the best you can and hope for the best. You will never feel prepared for a section like this.
