Not bad at all… It is a lot of information…

But, for your “emotional comfort” FAR is basically what you took in college… Principles of Accounting and Intermediate Accounting…

It is doable… You can do this!

For me, BEC is the beast to defeat and you already mastered it… So you will do fine

    B - 62, 70, 72, 79!!!
    A - 68, 81
    R - 70, 82
    F - 84

Looks like you've taken the other 3 exams, so you will be fine. FAR can really scare you at first. Honestly, the actual content of the material isn't that bad. Although I scored the lowest on FAR, the actual exam itself wasn't nearly as bad as the other 3. AUD & BEC try to throw some tricky things at you, REG is just a nightmare-need I say more, FAR was the most straight forward (for me) during the actual exam.

    AUD 81 (X4) Previous scores 59, 72, 72
    REG 80 (X3) Previous scores 59, 60
    FAR 75 (X2) Previous score 67
    BEC 79 (X2) Previous score 58

I actually felt that since FAR would take the most time to study for, I would do it first. Also, IFRS keeps getting more intergrated into FAR, so the sooner it is taken the better. I feel the same way for AUD. I am taking REG in January so I don't have to study 2 years worth of info.

    FAR 61, 82! ( 11/9/12)
    AUD 67, (4/19/13) WAITING!!

FAR is like the following courses:

    Financial Accounting

    Intermediate Accounting I

    Intermediate Accounting II

    Government Accounting

    Non For Profit Accounting

    Advanced Accounting

Yes, that's a lot, but you can do it. Know your bond amortizations, for example.

FAR has the most material, but it's mostly concept & less memorization, it's the least trickiest, and has the biggest curve. So, it has its ups and downs.

Just wanted to state that if I can pass FAR anyone can pass FAR 🙂 It is a very wide range of topics but none of them are tooooo indepth so it's not quite as overwhelming as it may initially seem. You just have to go through MCQs a lot and it gets easier.

I never took any sort of Governmental accounting classes in college which is heavily tested and I managed to figure it out and do alright. You can do it, you may just have to put in a bit more effort on this section than the other ones.

    Good luck!

    AUD - 73, 82 7/2010
    REG - 79 7/2010
    BEC - 72, 74, 78 7/2011
    FAR - 66, 83 1/2012 - AND I'M DONE! Best feeling ever.
