    Less than 36 hours till the exam – can’t believe it’s so close. Doing last section tonight (cash flows). My plan for tomorrow:

    Review my notes + ninja notes (this will take a while as I have a lot of my own notes)

    Review GAAP v. IFRS

    Look over all the SIMs (not actually work through them)

    Look over recently released AICPA questions (for 2011, 2012, and 2013)

    Random mcqs as needed for anything that seems confusing or I always get wrong

    Any last minute tips? Thoughts on the plan for tomorrow?

    @Memmy29 – In regards to “wordy questions” … This is probably pretty standard advice, but the videos in CPAexcel emphasis this point often, so I will mention it. With any question, whether wordy or not, look first to see what the question is asking. That way, as you are reading through the body of the question, you have a better feeling about what points to hone in on.

    @RandomAlt,

    Yes! I've been doing that a lot but I wasn't sure if a lot of others do too, or if it's not recommended. Thanks for the advice.

    @memmy29 – It makes sense to do it that way. Some of the MCQs CPAexcel gives are just a wall of text. I know I look at it and it is immediately overwhelming, cause you just FEEL that this question is going to take a lot of time…but if you find what the question is asking first, hopefully you can quickly find the info you need within the wall of text.

    I know how you feel. Wordy questions make you feel tired and you just want to pick c and keep going. Unfortunately, c might not be the right answer. so I agree with the others, Read the question first, the go back and read the information, then answer the question. this way you weed out what is relevant and what is not.

    Pay attention to the CSO and don't skimp on government and nonprofit. They outline it as something around 16%-24% of the exam. They aren't kidding.

    BEC: PASS
    AUD: PASS
    FAR: PASS
    REG: PASS

    See above link. It's the breakdown of topics tested on the exam (this one is for FAR but you can just google it). Don't get a false sense of security by looking at these. The exams always seem to know your weak areas, and on my last FAR exam the SIMs were very obscure. So in my experience this doesn't necessarily correlate to the actual exams, however you can see for ex. that in general gov/nfp is a huge part of the exam. It's a pretty interesting read overall.
