Testing day after.. last section.. freaking out is an understatement at this point.. stomach’s getting huge butterflies just thinking that my exam is less than 48 hours away.. I know it’s normal to feel nervous as I have been for the other sections too.. but this one is special because I don’t know what to expect.. I don’t know how well prepared I am.. usually I’m able to tell atleast to an extent.. but for this section, I just don’t know….

All I know is this is my last section and I need to clear it before I start losing credits… Any last minute tips from you successful FAR beasts? For these last 2 days..? My plan is to just do sims and questions today, and read Non Profit and F10 (Becker), and then tomorrow just go over my mistakes and read some more notes..

Please share your thoughts.. Also, is the score on WTB practice questions a good estimate of your final score on the exam? Or has anyone faced significant differences, either upwards or downwards in their actual exam score?

Research Question is usually my forte in the other sections.. However for FAR, it's seeming like a nightmare.. just can't seem to get any right.. My problem is the answer is usually split in different paragraphs.. and I pick one, the most relevant according to me. Turns out that the correct answer is another paragraph which has a LINK to the paragraph I've entered as my answer!!!!!!!!!!!! Example – my answer is 25-10-5. Correct answer is 35-15-7 and when I check, the correct paragraph (35-15-7) mentions “the conditions mentioned in 25-10-5”.

Really struggling to get this right.. Any advice????

    P.S. – TESTING IN 24 HOURS…..

I'm not sure I can be much help on this one. I understand why the ones with the links are chosen instead of the other ones. The ones with the links are more inclusive since they also include the reference to the more basic answer. I guess just go with the one that also includes the basic reference in it. I don't remember seeing any like that, but it took me 15 minutes to find my research SIM for FAR. That is an insane amount of time for a research SIM. Good luck tomorrow!! You can do this!

It's crazy.. haven't seen this in the other sections and started practising research a bit late, so freaking out right now..

So you're saying that more often than not, the paragraph WITH the link is correct, since it includes a basic explanation, AND reference to the details (via the link) – correct?

So I should try to answer the one which has the link if feasible. Is that right?

That would be my guess. Just make sure the link is referring to the basic explanation and you should be good to go. Keep in mind that your review materials do not usually have the entire Authoritative Literature in it. The real test will. Also remember to use the AL for all your SIMS, not just the research ones. You can find JEs, formulas, etc in the AL so it can help with all the SIMS. It also helps to use the “search within” feature.

Okay.. seem to be getting confused on this…

If you sell me an equipment, would I record the selling price in my books? or would I record it at fair value as of that date?????

If there are JEs to be listed, you may find them in section 55 of the topic (ex. ASC 323-10-55).

Using Ninja MCQ, NINJA Notes, Audio, Flashcards and BLITZ, and 2014 Wiley Text

    FAR - (61,63)
    AUD - (68)

    Keep Calm and RTMFQ
